Just curious if Kobe goes for another fifty tomorrow, would this be a new NBA record? Has anyone ever done this before? If yes, who holds the record for the most 50-point games in a row?

How about three games in a row with 2 of them being 60? I bet Kobe and Wilt are the only two to do that.

And how about 175 in a three game span?

yes, i'd like to know who has he highest three game total...jordan's was 164.

Wilt scored 60+ 32 times. Kobe is tied for 2nd with MJ at 4 60 pt games!

It would be easy to guess that any scoring records belong to Wilt. The guy was a phenomenon.

If you take out the "in a row" requirement, Wilt also *averaged* 50.4 PPG in 1961-62. In some games he only scored in the forties

What were Wilt's points in the games surrounding his 100 pt game?

Your first point is correct. Wilt and Kobe are the only ones ever to go 60-50-60.

The 175 points in 3 games is the most in over 40 years. History is being written before our eyes. If we can just get another ring or two with Kobe, that would be the ultimate.

cant really compare those eras
im sure wilt is one of the greats but his stats are without a doubt inflated

I'm just shooting in the dark here, but I think Wilt's best 3-game stretch (in a row, I mean) was 73, 62, and 62 which is 195, 20 more points than Kobe's current one. He may have done that twice. For 4 games in a row, I believe it's right around his 100-point game: 67, 65, 61, 100 which is 293 over a 4-game stretch.

I could be wrong about these.

Wilt inflated his stats by scoring so many points, grabbing so many rebounds, and making so many assists.

Wilt must had been an alien or some dude with a time travel machine... how many what i want to know what was his shot attempt average? there was no 3pt shot back then, unless he shot a free throw after every basket he must have shot at least 30-40 attempts, definitelly another era...

I must admit that I'm not impressed by Wilt on this one. Only 7 games in a row? I thought he averaged 50 ppg in one season, you would think he would at least have 20 games in a row.

Another crazy Wilt stat: In the 50 ppg season, Wilt averaged 48.6 mpg. And each game was only 48 minutes long. And he never fouled out of a game in his entire career.

I think Kobe scored more than Wilt over a 3-game period. They gave the numbers on Sportscenter, but I can't recall them.

I doubt it, counting Wilt's 100 point game, if he got more then 76 points combined (38 each game) then he got more then Kobe.

For his career, he averaged 30 points on 22 shots. In his most prolific year (average 50.4 ppg) he took 39.5 shots per game and went to the line 17 times per game.

I tried finding it, but couldn't. As I said, they gave the numbers on Sportscenter.

it boggles my mind that someone could have 45 50 point games in a season.
