^^^I am saying your 1st point with GS didn't matter, because at that point Minny would have wanted the #8 and wouldn't have been satisfied with only cap space....so the deal that would potentially work with Odom now to Charlotte wouldn't have worked prior to the draft. Minny's asking price has to be lower now. Aside from that, I still don't think Charlotte would have been willing to pay LO all that money when they already were going to have Wallace and wanted to invest that money instead in a SG.
I don't agree with you regarding Jaric v. Blount. If they get Bynum and Kwame, suddenly Blount becomes as redundant as Jaric....Blount actually makes more than Jaric. He is a bad contract as well. Very little difference.
As far as cap space, it seems they want as much of it as they can get now. I don't know why they do, but it seems that they do. My proposal accomplishes that. I am just playing by their rules...it is obvious both you and I (as rational people) think differently than they do. _________________ LakersGround's Terms of Service

Vegas Chatter by Marc Stein, ESPN.com
Quote: | LAS VEGAS -- Dribbling around the NBA Summer League for the latest free-agent and trade rumblings:
Sorry to disappoint, but there has been very little Kevin Garnett chatter circulating in Vegas. Almost none, really.
If there's a frontrunner to finally pry Garnett away from the Wolves -- or if there's even a clear picture of what the Wolves want now that the highly anticipated 2007 draft is a memory -- this wasn't the place to hear it.
The most definitive declaration we can pass along is the view of one rival executive who says he knows "for a fact" that Minnesota remains intent on making a KG trade before the season starts.
Eighty days and counting .... |

Well if an unamed exec says it, and it's on the internet, it must be true right? |

Well there's always the summer league until Sunday. And then the Pan Am games (basketball starts next Friday). And then the FIBA Americas tournament in Vegas in August.
I think Stein is off a little in his numbers. The NBA season usually starts at the end of October or beginning of November. That's more than 100 days. Maybe he meant pre-season? _________________ Game recognize game, Granddad. - Riley Freeman, The Boondocks |

With all the panting going on, don't you think this thread is sticky enough? _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel |
