Did we lose games in the 1st & 4th and win them in 2nd & 3rd? |
Yes, 1st quarter set the tone of the season and 4th ended it on a sour note for us |

We won games in the 2nd & 3rd by simply catching up on points because we simply had to at that point |

During Rudy Three's era we got a huge lead and then let it slip away at the end.
If I remember correctl during the Frankenstein era we went downhill the whole 1st half and went uphill the whole 2nd half |

When I have time I'll go through our losses last season and see what our point average was in the 1st quarter. We didn't play defense because it would give out in the 1st quarter at about 0-10 and then all we would do to try to win was turn the offense way up in the 2nd and 3rd. that's how it went down on more than one occassion. Who here knows it better let him speak his mind! |

Even in the games where the Lakers did well offensively (7th ranked offense in the league,) they'd score over 100 and give up even more (29th worst defense in the league)
It would take a fool not to see that the defense is more crucial than offense at this point. |

well i remember at the beginning of the season against orlando we had liek a 17 point half time lead or close to that, well we lost the game, so id have to say it was the third quarter and fourth that hurt us |
