Not sure if anyone else has the same, but often when I log in and hit submit, it just takes me to the page that lists all of the forums without actually logging me in. I have to log in a second time, after which, all of the threads show up as having been read (or no new posts) already.

You logging in from the script at the top of the page... or the actual Login Page? The login page is also the secure way to log in.

I use 2 different computers to login. Here are the issues I have.

At work I use Firefox and Windows XP. I always have to login twice before the forums accepts me as me. And even though I click the "login automatically" box, it never does.

At home I use a Mac and Safari. No problems as it has me logged in all the time.

Please help with the Firefox/Windows situation. It is so annoying to have to do the double login every time. Thanks.

I've tried on multiple computers using Firefox (and I use Firefox myself on a daily basis), and I've never been able to duplicate it. I was hoping FaxData would pick up this thread, since he's the one who does the programming for the site. I'll do some more looking to see what I can find. It's one thing if we can always make it happen using a specific browser. It's more difficult when it only happens with a small subset of users, and others with similar configurations don't exhibit the problem.

Since I have used the Login page as JD suggested, I no longer have the problem

After 6 months, two or three email addresses, email attempts, including updating my own email address I got back in.

All done and even got my original username back, thanks Phil, you are the man!

This was my post, but where did abian come from?

Thanks and abian came from the depths of the admin panel I guess. I"ve been taking a lot of e-mails so perhaps I mixed some up.

Glad everything is okay with your account now.
