Can we have at least a day or two without hate? This should be a day of celebrating and we have dozens who are still posting hate of our players ... unbelievable.

As for me ... my wife thought something had gone terribly wrong in the world when she heard my screams. Literally I was screaming and jumping up and down ... like an idiot ... damn near started crying. Last time I felt like this without a title was when they announced Shaq was in the house.

Nothing but love!!!

PS: I can guarantee that Gasol and Kobe are going to be VERY happy we still have Odom. I read where someone had said they wished we had traded Odom for Marion. We have got to be VERY careful with any more moves. We have enough unselfish players on this team to allow Gasol to fit in perfectly. Add a selfish, whining, malcontent like Marion and the chemistry is in danger. Plus we need all the triangle experience we can get now. Time to let our team do as Kobe just said ... time to let the players make it work.

What a steal!! I seriously predict a championship this year. If Bynum comes back strong, we will no doubt be the favorites no doubt.

Championship may be stretching it but it is a real possibility now. One thing is guaranteed.....Phoenix doesn't want anything to do with us in the first round or any round for that matter. I bet Celtic fans are pissed to seeing us become instant contenders again.

Mitch, Thank you for your help in making my day. With this trade we don't have too many healthy players now. Hope Mihn get back soon and can contribute the way he is capable. When when Gasol be suited up and get to play?

What a frontcourt.

Bynum, Turiaf
Gasol, Radmanovic
Odom, Ariza, Walton

This should make the Lakers legit contenders, as soon as this year's playoffs. A healthy Laker frontcourt, we'll be a very dangerous team.

Bynum, Gasol and Odom have to be the biggest starting FC in the NBA right now.

Who would have thought that Mitch exercising that third year option actually ended up being a great move because they got Pau Gasol for parts?

Im almost in shock! We give away our worst player and get another teams best player in return? You gotta be kidding me! I've bashed mitch relentlessly over the years but I gotta give him his due on this one. He committed unarmed robbery. Easily, the best trade acquisition he has made since becoming GM. Im not sure if it definitely puts us over the top or not but I feel a helluva lot better about our chances

Is this the way it figures to play out when everyone comes back?
1- KB
2 - Fish
3- LO
4 - Pau
5 - Drew

DANG!

I'm still in utter disbelief. This truly has been a redeeming year for Mitch Kupchak. The year that it becomes apparent two draft picks (Bynum and Farmar) will become impact players down the road. The year he drafts both of the centerpieces (Crit and M-Gasol) in a trade for an All-Star bigman. The year he finally answers his critics in terms of making a small trade and one for defense in Ariza. The year he finally gets it right with the MLE (Fisher). And finally the home-run trade, the kind of trade that many criticized him for holding out on. This is the year he became the master of all trades and the jack of none.

Yes, ideally we get a more rugged bigman but when you consider what we gave up, it's a no-brainer. The benefits on offense are obvious, but consider that both of our big man are capable of anchoring the D, giving us flexibility on D. If the other team's best big man is a power player, put Bynum on him. If he's more of a finesse big man, put Gasol on him. Either way, we have a solid shot-blocker and rebounder free to roam the paint.

I see nothing but All-Star appearances down the road for Bynum and maybe I'm getting ahead but even the great Jerry West was never able to put an all-star C/PF combo together.

Lakers-Celtics revived - David Stern must be absolutely giddy.

And now Mitch can return those incriminating photos back to Heisley.
