Anyone want to post a Top 10 list? Still trying to figure mine out.

TV on the Radio is probably my favorite record this year. Fleet Foxes is on there. Q-Tip's album is awesome. Sun Kil Moon, Thao, Deerhunter, Cut Copy, Dodos, Kanye and Portishead got pretty heavy rotation too.

Pavement, Buena Vista Social Club, The Smiths, Neil Young and Bob Dylan all released live, remastered or compilation records that were excellent, but not sure if they qualify.

What were some of your favorite albums of 2008?

Blitzen Trapper and Thao? I only know one song of each. Didn't realize their entire albums were good.

Thanks for the heads up!

The people on this forum don't approve of Lil Wayne, plus Tha Carter III was a bit overrated, Tha Carter II was better imo.

And huge album sales doesn't make an album "good".

Dela album was 2007 I think, but still underrated.

I liked the Foreign Exchange album but wish Little Brother would do another record. N.E.R.D album wasn't as good as their first two, IMO.

I'd put Wale - Mixtape About Nothing as one of the best hip hop releases.

Yea... it came out last Nov/Dec. Just so happens, I got my hands on Atmosphere Airlines Vol 2 last night... and it picks up right were Vol 1 left off... like the first, it's a must have...

I hear you on the Foreign Exchange album... I was surprised by the finished product... however on it own, its very good album... Phonte and Nicolay pulled it off. Seeing Sounds was definitely not as good as In Search Of, but I think it is as good as Fly or Die.

Good call on Raphael's release, Jeanius was tight, and you can never go wrong with Pete Rock.

Another album I forgot was H.I.S.D. - The District. And if you liked the The District, you will love Summer Sessions.
