They do it to every other team's "superstar" or best player. Its like homerism in reverse.

A tie? I dunno, they were both garbage tonight.

Garbage was shooting 34 3's and only creating 9 TOs. This game was lost on the offensive perimeter and defensive end.

We hit 16 of those for a 47.1% total though. Sure we missed a ton of them at the end but the 3s were the only reason we didn't lose by alot more than what we did.

They create long caroms. They take the place of lowpost offense. There's a limit. There may not be an answer for where that limit is, but I would venture to guess that it begins when it's your first option on offense and especially when it's Ariza's first option.

one player got calls with 13ft's

the other didnt and got 6ft's

One had over 25% of his shots from beyond 3, the other worked more inside. That is why 3-point shots suck.

6/7 from 3 sucks?

wow, thanks for clearing that up cause for decades i was clearly thinking opposite

West shot 63% of his shot attempts outside the key

Read what I wrote again, 3-point shots suck. They are fools gold, there is a reason teams that shoot alot of 3's don't win titles.

I can't believe I didn't bother to check who was reffing tonight when I took us to cover the 7 and the over. Seriously, any time Joey Crawford is calling a Lakers or Spurs game just bet the other side and profit.

I agree but when your bigs are playing like (bleep) what are you supposed to do? Keep going to them?

PJ Post-Game Interview:

-Outplayed us in the 4th quarter.

-Started taking a lot of 3's which didn't work out for us.

-David West played a great game.

-LO's status: Will let John (Black) answer that. But not happy about it, we'll know more tomorrow.

-Vlade had a tough night out there. Thought he did OK on the defensive end.

-Kobe was double teamed and we had a lot of wide open looks for 3s which we missed. Shooting all of those 3's is not the kind of game we want to play.

-Had a great 3rd quarter but we did not continue that in the 4th. Pau never really had the opportunity to attack tonight.

-We didn't execute well enough and get the ball inside.

-Sasha was not able to compete tonight due to foul trouble.

-Back to back game, will try to rest up as much as possible. Will need others to step up tomorrow.

Not saying the bigs were gonna bail us out either, but try to drive and kick at the very least. What we saw was some (bleep) we used to run in 2005. I think a number of factors beat us tonight, not just the refs. Chief among them was that about 10 of our players were lazy bums tonight. That's a bigger problem of ours this year than refs, that's for sure. As long as it's not trending back to where we were 3 wks ago, I'm cool. Stomp GS.

Andrew Buynum:

-Loss not due to lack of energy, but they hit their shots and we didn't.

-"Kobe went off and played spectacular", but after that we had a bunch of turnovers. Their run really hurt us.

-Back to back game on the road will be tough, but we'll be able to have the guys we practice with every day make contributions.

Per Michael Eaves:
-LO will have an MRI tomorrow, speculation is that it is a hyperextended knee. He will not make the charter to Oakland.

Chris Paul and David West had to go god-mode in order to pull out a win. I'll admit there were some questionable calls in the 4th from Joey Crawford.

Sasha Vujacic:

-(Regarding the officiating) From an individual point of view, felt he was having a good game when he hit his first couple of shots. But overall, he felt the officiating was "disgusting" and he will talk to his agent and take it to the league. Not going to comment further.

-Was benched for a lot of the game and it completely took him out of his rhythym.

-(Regarding LO) Whenever a teammate goes down, you're concerned. He's a warrior and we all have to step up.

bottom line, scoring 13 total points as a team in the 4th quarter won't get you a win no matter who you play...... sad

little more explanatory now... i dont agree with the amount of 3pt shots taken or even the 3pt line in general... me and my father had a discussion today about how scoring was so fluent before there was a 3pt line because it made you take the ball to the hole, or shoot a nice mid-range j... we both agreed... and at best, on average, its a below 50% attempt... so you have no complaint from me, my stance was from my interpretation that you believed that kobe's 3's sucked tonight specifically... all cleared

Refs did not let us play any defense tonight, everything was a foul. 37 freethrows says it all.

Please, don't let Joey ref any of our games ever again.

He loves hogging the spotlight, especially in LA

Kobe:

-NO played extremely well. CP and David had a great game.

-Had some good looks but need to work on pounding the glass.

-A little bit concerned about the back to back game and the fact that GS is a running team.

-It's that time of year when the injury bug strikes and hopefully LO will be OK.

It was tough going into tonights game with a killer instinct because of what we did to New Orleans in New Orleans twice this year.

It really sucked since we really had a good chance to get the win until we let the Hornets go on that ridiculous 13-0 run.

We were up 99-94 and then went on cruise control.

Head up Laker Nation!!

We are 27-6 and we gotta a lot more battles to go!!!

Boston losing to Charlotte tonight and Cleveland about to go into battle with Boston on Friday we can take sole possession of the number 1 spot again
