Would you have chosen someone else over Bynum? He is just so raw, and if the Lakers were going for potential they could have gotten Gerald Green. I know Bynum is a C but still..McCants, May, Green, Granger, Warrick.

(Your poll is misleading. As such, several people already stated the tally is skewed. - JD)

Warrick and Granger are small forwards.

McCants is an undersized two guard.

May would have been alright but doesn't have near the potential as Bynum.

Green has great potential but other than Jordan no team has won without a legit big man and Bynum has the possiblity to be that man alongside Kobe.

Bynum doesnt have as much potential as people here think. He was not projected to go anywhere close to where he ended up. The max of his capabilities I see are around 15/8. This guy is not gonna be a main man winning championships, thats the truth. I wish him the best, but I would definitely change the pick.

Hey! this poll question is misleading!

I thought I was answering the thread question " Bynum worth #10" not "Give Bynum Back?"

How about we just wait and watch him play first before we hang him for being raw, with just super potential.

Heh, all the professionals (not just some random guy on a sports website) say he has the tools to be good, and that he has a good attitude as well. I'll defer to their superior talent assessment over yours. Btw, I incorrectly voted for that poll; I chose that we should keep the pick as is, since I like Bynum.

You need to change the way this poll is worded. I'm the 3rd person who voted wrong. I would take Bynum again.

Poll: Way too early to start a poll like this?

Hmmm.... shall we listen to Pete Newell and Kareem Abdul Jabbar or CrazyLaFan14?

Let me think about that for a minute.

Seriously folks,

Get over it. Bynum is 7'0 Center, Green maybe great (or may suck from SPL reports he looked like a deer in headlights) but its not often a 7'0 center comes along no matter how good.

The poll sucks btw too.

You. Are. Crazy.

We draft on potential, and Bynum has it.

You have not seen his workouts. You haven't gotten to see him play in practice. You don't know about his development at this point.

If KAR, and the other Lakers brass think this guy can be big...then we gotta trust them.

Plus, do you think many had doubts on Kobe? I'm sure some said "Kobe ain't gonna be all that" and "What? We traded Vlade for some kid?"

Kobe was brought here because of potential. So did Bynum

Then why did the scouts say he should've gone higher than 10 after watching him in the SPL? He likely would've been a top 3 pick next year.

Green was horrendous in the SPL. Where would Granger play with Odom moved to the 3? McCants is a 2 that is not quick enough to defend points. Spend our #10 for a backup to Kobe? May and Warrick are both undersized 4's. No thanks. Give me a legit back to the basket athletic center over 2 small PF's, and some more SF's.
