I want to believe that TNT has exclusive rights to the semifinals. I hope I am wrong here.

I think it's TNT and ESPN covering every game.

DAMMIT.....that means everyone is going to miss parts of the 1st quarter of each game because the first game of a double-header always goes long!

The NBA is stupid when it comes to programming.

I'm pretty sure 2nd round and on, the Networks have exclusive rights (e.g. TNT, ESPN, ABC).

Doesn't KCAL still have the road games though?

Nope. Even Stu and Joel said it's their last broadcast of the year during game 5.

Yeah, I've always hated this. The NBA really needs to examine this. After the 3OT Chicago/Boston game yesterday, TNT started showing the Houston/Portland game about 3 minutes into the 2nd quarter. Can you imagine being a Portland or Houston fan? I'd be f-----g livid!

It was actually 3 minutes into the 3rd quarter, which is even more amazing. That's over half the game.

Agreed it's absolutely ridiculous. TNT used to throw the next game onto TBS when the first one runs long during the playoffs.

Also, it's always the TNT games that go longer for regulation ending games. ESPN does a much better job on regulation-length games. I believe it's because TNT starts the 1st game about 12 minutes in compared to ESPN, which usually starts the first game about 5 minutes in at most.

It's actually pretty annoying for fans going to games when they're on ESPN/ABC, as they often do the starting lineups and national anthem at the "start time" of say 7.30pm, and then the game begins at 7.35 as opposed to the usual 7.41 or so that people are accustomed to. But, it works out great for TV viewers.
