Was Shaq's offer to pay for the funeral genuine or a publicity stunt?

Was Shaq being sincere when he offered to pay for Mikan's funeral, or was the big "caretaker" just looking for more "pub"?

I think he was sincere because I have seen pictures of him with Mikan at a photo shoot. They were laughing and smiling and looked as if they were friends.

Seriously, who cares either way? What Shaq did was a nice thing, so why do we have to criticize it?

hes making so much money the funeral cost is nothing to him. he sees it a way of making himself look good. he never does something big unless the cameras are around to capture it.

This is important to the whole league in general.. Mikan was the first bigman ever and Shaq did this because he does truly care about other people...

He may act like a big baby when his feelings are hurt and all.. but he is a very generous man
