And no, the status of the lights would not change anything.
I feel reasonably safe in saying that a good portion of the fans at Staples are old enough that they no longer associate dark with quiet time or nap time.

If they cut down ticket prcies that real fans could afford the HCA would be INSANE
So because someone can afford a seat in sections 100-200, they are somehow not "real" fans?
Oh man, I've seen some BS around here, but that ranks right up there with the worst of it..
Maybe a "real" fan would find ways to scrimp and save their money so they can attend a game. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

if they did that staples would turn into dodger stadium. i was pretty obvious during the $10 playoff viewings last year that too many dodger/raider fans in one location doesnt end well _________________ "Scoring the ball is pretty much like breathing to me." - Kobe Bryant

I love lights out. But what is to stop somebody from throwing food into the lower rows, stealing someone's wallet, or punching them in the face? Surely those incidents must happen... _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

Dude, the lights are dimmed. It's not pitch black like a closet in there. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

Lights out are a good thing .... with the lights on, it would show how corporate and wishy-washy the Staples crowd really is, as they are snappin' pick of courtside celebs instead of watching the game ........

It's obvious that the people who thinks the Lights Out should be removed have never attended a game at Staples Center.
It's not DARK in person. In fact, there is plenty of lights, you can see where you're moving in the seats. The way the lighting looks on TV makes the crowd look dark.
It's just the Los Angeles (or Southern California) crowd that is too casual and laid back. It has nothing to do with "Lights Out". _________________

Ya, because people suddenly turn into wild animals in the dark

But imagine the endless possibilities of groping if it was darker..
