He went by the name gumbygld. Here is a link to a thread that he is arguing why he was trying to get Bynum Max Money and the other posters are letting him have it. About halfway down on page 3. Classic!!

Oh, that was his agent? I thought that was just a rumor.

That's the gut who broke the Ariza trade

Yeah I remember that, I think he got run or disappeared on his own. Too bad Ariza couldn't break free from him soon enough.

I'm sure he hasn't left.

There's a David Lee thread just for him. Bet it pains him to read it.

No kidding. Can you imagine David Faulk or any of the other heavy hitters posting on forums? If word gets around that this agent leaks info to websites regarding deals, he's going to be out of business real fast.

That explains why gumbygld always had the scoop on Ariza and Bynum.

*Yes, he scooped every news outlet that Ariza was dealt to the Lakers.

Seriously, what kind of "professional" agent goes on a fan message board, blabs his clients' news while disguising himself as a poster with an inside source? Answer: an unprofessional scumbag.

It's really quite incredible if you think about it. What an utter moron. Makes perfect sense that he would blab everything all over the media. Somebody should send this to Bynum and Ariza so that they can see what a schmuck represents them.

Check out some of these other posts which inadvertently reveal who he is:

by Gumbygld on Wed Jun 18, 2008 9:16 am
Walton is getting 5mill a year. Trust me there is a team in this league that would give Ariza in his current situation atleast 3.1 for next season. TRUST ME Ariza will opt out. Even if he is to remain a Laker he will opt out. If you'd like to bet on it, be my guest.

Edit: Only way it doesn't happen is if Phil sits him down a guarantees that he will get burn and will change the situation he is currently in.

Dont know if this hit the media yet but they picked up Hassan Adams for this season.

OMG .. and Adams is one of his 4 NBA clients.

For him to be in control of the futures of Ariza and AB. Sad.

Ariza should still be a Laker. Lee will screw up AB too.

Who ever gumbygld is the person clearly has a lot of hostility toward the Laker franchise in general... Of course if it is true that it does happen to be Ariza's agent (which I would have no idea one way or the other) then this obvious hostility would explain why he came off so aggressive and hostile with Mitch from the beginning...

Some people are convinced it's him because he broke the news about the Ariza trade and mentioned some of Lee's other clients. Wouldn't shock me if it was him, but you're right, it's a rumor that's never been proven, as far as I know.

this quote from one of his posts stood out to me.

Quote:
A lot of you are including Ariza in next years roster. I HIGHLY doubt you will see Ariza in a Lakers jersey after this season, id say theres a 90% chance he opts out especially with the fact that Phil will be coach and favors Walton over him. Im sure he would even settle making the same money elsewhere where he could get more minutes. Its a LONG shot that he will be a Laker next season.

The scariest thing is that someone that uneducated is in charge of managing someone's career and trying to get them the best contract possible. Mitch must have laughed whenever he hung up the phone with this joker.

Haha wow that is so sad! I don't visit CL so this is news to me. Unbelievable. Anyone who hires this guy as an agent is an IDIOT. I could've done a better job for Ariza, and I would've done it for free.
