Boston or Sac town.Peja for artest .Maybe the celtics can trade for artest with some of their younger players.Bird may also want to help out his old team

I really doubt he stays on the east coast personally. He wants to stay on the east coast, and particularly wants to go to the Knicks - but he's just embarassed the organization and burned alot of bridges the way he's approaching his trade demand... and you know the Pacers would much rather trade him west if they can find a suitable deal there.

Larry Brown has a history of taking teams to the playoffs even when they're scarce on talent, and with the addition of Artest (and the subtraction thereof for Indiana), the Pacers could at least potentially end up in the same mix as New York.

Likewise with Cleveland, where when you consider that the Pacers are unlikely to get equal value in return - they'd only be moving themselves out of the perceived "top 3" in the east (DET, MIA, IND) and letting Cleveland move into that mix in their place.

I think he goes west, just a matter of where. Sactown still seems like the most likely destination, especially since that was the original "backdoor" discussion that pissed Artest off to begin with and got him into his trade demand mode.
