we got 18 games left before the all star break and 11 of them are on the road. what u think our record is goin to be before the all star break? present day record is now 18-16.

Wed 11 @ Portland
Thu 12 Cleveland
Sat 14 @ Golden State
Mon 16 Miami
Thu 19 @ Sacramento
Fri 20 @ Phoenix
Sun 22 Toronto
Fri 27 Golden State
Sun 29 @ Detroit
Tue 31 @ New York
Wed 1 @ Indiana
Fri 3 @ Charlotte
Sat 4 @ NO/Okla. City
Tue 7 @ Dallas
Wed 8 @ Houston
Sat 11 Memphis
Mon 13 Utah
Wed 15 Atlanta

My prediction is that our team will win 12-6 finsihing at the break 30-22. solid position considering 18 out of the 30 games remaining after the break are at home.[/b]

Call me a homer, but I think we can run the table with everyone except Phoenix/Detroit with Miami/Memphis/Dallas/Golden State being borderline.

31-21 barring injury. Odom and Kwame's jumpers are coming around. And that is better news than I could possibly imagine (because quite frankly, I've lost almost all hope that these two will develop offensively in any significant way).

Schedule looks good actually.......Kobe in dallas.....Kobe owns them .....Games on the road are against teams we can beat......I see us going 13 and 5.....or 12 and 6.....I will go with 31 and 21.......

Cav's,and Miami at home will be tough, the warriors are always pesky.....At Indiana will be a fight.....The rockets with Yao if he is back will be tough......The Suns will be a tough and important one.......And at the Psitons will be a extra tough one.....but watch out for Kobe than like no other time,I got a strong feeling about that one.......I figure we go 6 and 3 against these tougher ones, and 7-2 against the ones we should get,for 13 and 5.............

What is an "all star beak"?

But seriously, I think the Lakers can easily win at least 10 of those 18 games as long as they take care of business. Stay healthy, play good enough defense, give Kobe enough support on offense, hold leads, etc. I think after the All-Star game is when the Lakers can really make their move and gain momentum into the playoffs. Hopefully we can be one of those upstart teams that no one will want to face in the first round.

Not sure if this makes me an optomist or not, considering some responses
thus far. But I'll say 12-6. Our record at the break: 30-22.

That's where I'm at Soda, in the 28-31 range, and feel it's reasonable, considering our light schedule and emerging confidence.
