Well, I wasn't trying to funny. Just making a point that I feel many on this board will overreact to this loss by starting outrageous threads.
Do you disagree? |

What are you talkin about? Randolph was 8 of 22. Kobe guarded Patterson at times, and he went for 8 of 13 with 21 points, way over his average. |

Good night, everyone. I'm going to try and go to sleep. Hopefully, we can turn it around tomorrow night and find a way to get a much needed W after this disappointing performance. I might as well expect this up and down play from this team. I must admit that I don't have high expectations for us, but we should beat Portland anywhere we play them. |

Not at all. I hate this place after losses. Ugh.

Kobe looked really PISSED! but he should blame his lousy 2nd half shot selection.
Did the Lakers forget how to play defense? were they looking forward to Lebron and the Cavs? Are they tired? I can't figure out how they lose to this team! |

Kobe shot so many threes cause he, like us, can tell when we're just trading baskets. He saw that Portland was going to get whatever they wanted. Only way to beat anyone if you're not playing any D, is to just outshoot em'. Unfortunately, Kobe was cold this time. Oh well. It happens.
Can't trade 2 FTs for a MADE FG every time down by the opposition. Have to play catch up somehow. _________________ Stephon Marbury on Kobe: "He's the only person on 'dis earth that can do 'dat. Cant forget Portland had 6 losses in a row and they playd hard Lakers did not couse of the record Portland have. Also for some reason we never play good when we play bad teams...anybody noticed that? |

Kobe is just as guilty as Sasha for gambling down low and leaving Dixon and Blake open for shots.
This loss is freaking embarissing |

I love them Maryland guards but not against the Lakers. They came to play tonight. Lakers definitely need help. Too much playing time for Luke Walton, Kobe looked tired, poor defense, and no rebounding. Where was Kwame in the second half? |

I blame much of this loss on Phil Jackson's lack of creativety with his line-ups. Why not bring in Bynum and play him with Kwame in the front court. Do you think they would have scored so easily inside vs. that front line? Does Phil have other priorities when it comes to Bynum's playing time? It can't just be because he is a rookie and Phil hates playing rookies, can it? |

Didn't think so. |
I'd like to discuss the perimeter defense tonight, if you would |
May as well discuss the existence of fairies, or trolls...
One thing I notice, is that we don't follow good fundamentals, when guarding someone, on the perimeter... We give half-hearted efforts... We don't really try to stick a hand, or two hands, in the shooter's face. We come over too slow, too late. _________________ "Teamwork is a nebulous thing.
