Since game 2 Ebanks has just looked like summer league filler so far. You don't need to post big numbers to really distinguish yourself on the court, but he's really faded into the background against weaker competition. If it was any other year he might not have been a lock to make the team (at least our team).

He's not a lock this year either.

Why? Because you dislike him?

no cuz it seems that at times, strawberry and green have a bigger upside

Because his play has been inconsistent maybe?

Well yeah he was a 2nd round pick.

He is a role player and he won't work on just any team.

Trevor went in the 2nd and rotted on benches before we got him. I can see you would have never traded for him.

because he is asked to be something he is not for this summer league team

he can't get himself good shots, so he depends on others to give him the ball in the right spots when he curls or cuts to the baskets. unfortunately nobody is capeable doing this on this team. he will be great with kobe, pau and bynum

Straberry and Gerald Green are dominating the ball and with poor results.

Don't start putting words in my mouth. I simply stated Ebanks isn't a "lock" for this team. Has nothing to do with Trevor, any 2nd rounder, or undrafted player. If you want to go that route, I've been a supporter of Strawberry either making the team or at least getting a training camp invite. Good man defender, athletic, and can handle the ball. All things the Lakers could use right now.

I think this shows just how bad DJ strawberry is at PG...when Jabaar was playing the first few games he had so many nice assists to ebanks for opens shots and passes to caracter in the post. With DJ all he does is jack up his own shots and make our team look horrible.

+1...no wonder Jabaar got swept up quick by the italian league...the games were SOOO much smoother when he was running the point, he looked pretty legit

He was initially going to be on the roster, but he's still trying to get back in shape from the foot injury. Look for him to be in the Lakers training camp or another squads.

I was wondering what happened to that guy. Strawberry is out of his element handling the ball this much. Reduce his role: defend, slash, spot up, and he does much better.

Nice finish by Strawberry though.
