Anyone listening?
I think he needs a local counterpart, cuz the transplanted ranting NYer persona doesn't do well over here in LA.
I don't think its gonna last long, which probably means he already has a long contract. _________________ "Kobe Bryant is the best player in the world and is basically unstoppable when his game is on" - Barack Obama

I don't know what the hell the problem was with Siciliano/Thompson. I thought they were hilarious.
Kellerman? Great. So, they get some douche from NYC to do LA Sports Live.
He claimed yesterday on Mason and Ireland to be a closeted Laker fan. Yea, whatever max. I'll just forget how much (bleep) you were talking about them during the 08 finals and how hard it was for new yorkers to watch the finals since it consisted of two cities you hate. _________________ Thank you, Kobe. yeah, i want to give him the benefit of the doubt, but its pretty agonizing to listen to, you can tell he's not used to radio because of moments of dead air while he tries to think of what to talk about.
4 hours is way too long for a Max Kellerman show. _________________ "Kobe Bryant is the best player in the world and is basically unstoppable when his game is on" - Barack Obama

The guy is annoying enough as a boxing commentator on HBO and now he has his own radio show? Wow...that's just awful. _________________ Just chill and watch the new Dynasty evolve...

I listened to his first couple opening segments today and it sounded like a lot of NY "LA fans are garbage/Anything of substance is in NY" kind of BS. He'll learn very soon that LA people don't give a (bleep) about NY and all that harping will leave him unemployed shortly.
I liked Siciliano. MT's analysis is weak so I'm not terribly sad to see him go although he's likable enough.

I had no problem with Siciliano-Thompson as a duo, Siciliano by himself was too much. But i thought together it was an entertaining odd couple.
I couldn't hang w/ Max's show, lets see whats on AM570 nowadays.
I can already predict future topics for Max's show.
"How come there is no good pizza in LA?"
"Why can't I get a good bagel in LA?"

ugh. don't say that. I can picture him recapping a Laker game for 2 seconds before gradually moving into your typical bar talk about random (bleep). _________________ Thank you, Kobe. We love you.

It's probably a salary dump for the station. KSPN 710am paid a hefty fee to snatch the Lakers away from KLAC and the ratings haven't justified the Siciliano/Thompson show. It's expensive enough to have Mason and Ireland so they are basically bringing in warm bodies to fill time around the Lakers and network coverage.
Two years or so ago, times were so tough that they let go the former Marconi Award winner Ireland before asking him to return when Mason couldn't carry the show by himself.
For anyone who wants to send feedback to the programming director at KSPN 710AM, contact Michael Thompson (similar name but not the former midday host): programming AT 710espn.com
I can't believe Max Kellerman is still alive. Haven't heard of him in years. _________________ (❍ᴥ❍ʋ) ʕʘᴥʘʔ (⌐ ͡■ ͜ʖ ͡■) (┛◉Д◉)┛( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ༼;´༎ຶ ༎ຶ༽
