Patrick Soon-Shiong (4)
In October, Magic Johnson sold his share of the team to the biotech billionaire; the Los Angeles Business Journal estimated that Johnson owned about 5 percent, putting the price tag at about $30 million. It’s rumored that Soon-Shiong received Johnson’s courtside tickets as part of the deal.

Billionaire? Im sure he could of bought the whole damn franchise( if Dr.Buss...)

Ari Emanuel (4)
The WME head (right) sublets four courtside seats next to the Lakers’ bench from an unknown ticket holder. Oftentimes accompanied by WME co-CEO Patrick Whitesell (left), Emanuel will occasionally fill his chairs with agency clients.

I think clients sit there most of the time and he occasionally actually sits there.

Little is known about this elusive courtside fan besides her first name.

There have been threads about her in the past, looks like we finally have a name. An LGer once mentioned that his relative got some really good seats from her in the past. She made her money through real estate.

When I googled Yori, Jet Woo Kim also came up in searches.

A lot of those hits on the other name are probably from the other Laker forum. They linked to LG for the original thread that has since been deleted. Since LG is an authority site, that name will soon draw hits from this thread.

I've wondered the same thing.

Quote:
Along the opposite side, just beyond the visiting team's bench, moving left, is that Yoko Ono doppelganger who can always be seen sporting the purple and gold of her beloved Lakers. Much digging has proved fruitless in trying to identify this character and her lady partner. But, according to The Daily Truffle's extensive rundown of who has the best seats in the house, her first name might be Yori, and various commenters online say shes been seen leaving the games in a blacked out Maybach.

There are others not accounted for in this list. I know that the owners of Guess (the jeans company) have 1 courtside seat right next to Dyan Cannon. Anybody else know who might be missing from this list?

After a bit of searching here's what is known about Yori, the mysterious Asian lady who sits courtside of Lakers games at Staples:

- She's been a season ticket holder for 30 years, so she's been there since the Magic era.
- She's usually seen in a blacked out Maybach and has two bodyguards (and or a chauffeur), one blogger says that he's seen her in a Porsche
- Apparently she is the daughter of a Japanese oil tycoon owns a substantial amount of pipeline in Japan also owns real estate in LA.
- The person sitting next to her is her friend/companion and sometimes will coordinate outfits with her
- One message poster claims that a relative worked for "Yori" and she's very generous with tix to Laker games as gifts during holidays

During the 2010 NBA Finals against the Boston Celtics, Hoffman and his wife began a tradition of outrageous PDA during the “Kiss Cam.”

He's been doing this for the past couple of years from what I can remember. Season ticket holders care to confirm?

Brief mention of courtside seats in Los Angeles magazine (April 2011 issue) talks about "philanthropist Yori Saneyoshi," although I believe her full name is "Yoriko Saneyoshi."

By the way, in the scuffle during Thursday night's game against Dallas, she was apparently landed on by the Mavs assistant coach, after Barnes pushed him away.

(From ESPN (http://espn.go.com/nba/dailydime/_/page/dime-110401/daily-dime): "That led Barnes to throw Stotts off him, and a member of the Mavericks said Stotts landed on a courtside fan and injured her.")

On the game video, you can see someone (a doctor?) kneeling down in front of her afterwards. A few minutes later, though, he's gone and she's back to her regular, attentive, but muted, watching the game.

They missed Andy Garcia on this list. My sisters friend has season tickets and when I get a chance to go I always see him in the same seat.

John Ireland was talking about this on the radio. Ya, Dr. Robert Klapper, and has a weekend show with Coach Dave Miller. They were saying that the doctor was helping bandaging her with Gary Vitti.

John also said he asked her to come on the radio and she texted him saying something along the lines of "No. Nothing to say. Just like Kobe said we're all a little beat up but we just gotta go out and play". They said her name was "K" but maybe she requested not to reveal her real name
