i got on the phone with tim cates when he was filling in for Lee Klein.

I dont understand how that guy has a job in SPORTS radio.
He has no clue about the game of basketball...NONE
I asked him if he actually watched the games or looked at boxscores. He never answered the question and went rambling on about kobes shot attempts and cut me off.

I attempted to call into Hacksaw's show when he was drive-time. Frankly, I have no idea how people ever get their calls on the radio. After burning up about 40 minutes on my cellphone and jabbering with one of the screeners for a bit, Lee announced a surprise guest (some retired Dodger or something) and I just hung up.

On the Loose Cannons they keep those folks on hold for an hour or longer...definitely not a caller-driven show.

If you actually want to get through and on the air, call Dave Smith or even Fred Roggin.

No, because I think caller-driven shows are dumb (sorry Dave). If I wanted to hear what a bunch of other schmucks like me think, I'd go talk about it in a bar or on the internet. I already do that. I think sports talk radio is best when calls are kept to a minimum.

Must be the same day i tried to call in. I remember the guy telling me..."stay tuned bud, its almost your turn.." 20 mins later..."hold on, your coming up next"...."...special guest on the show..."........click

I tried Dave smith...i got thru after holding after 2 guys...probably a 8 minute wait.

I had a chance to talk to Joel Meyers with Laker Reloaded last year.

That sounds about right.

Screener: "Hey guy, are you ready to talk to 'The Saw'?"

Me: "Yes."

Lee "Hacksaw" Hamilton: "I've been informed we have a special guest on the hotline, former Dodger 3rd base coach and five-time Hall of Nobodies nominee Zapp Brannigan..."

back when larry burnett was doing the post game show, i called once.

we had just lost to philly, shaq had 5 freaking rebounds! i ranted and ranted. larry just stayed quiet. finally he says, "i can see you're really upset."

i also knew the answer to the trivia question, and was about to win free laker tickets, but the guy just before me answered it correctly! damn.

Tim Cates is Bud Dickman from the Phil Hendrie show...

I've called that hater Jorge Sedano(Miami homer) and set him straight as far as Kobe and the Lakers are concerned....

I have also called Hacksaw when he had a show about the Raiders....

I've talked to Kevin wheeler on sporting news radio several times as well all about the Lakers Raider and Dodgers....
