Is that near the same shoulder that he injured last year? Or was that his left shoulder that he injured last year? I forget.

Right shoulder. He came back in. Who knows maybe some swelling, he was hanging it as he ran but who knows if that was for dramatic effect. Lets just get him healthy

EDIT: So I checked it up. His shoulder surgery was on the left shoulder, this is his right. So, at least there shouldn't be a concern of something from that surgery getting aggravated.

If you have a legitimate update on his injury, feel free to post it. If you want to throw down some lame joke, take it to the Lamar hate thread.

Lamar Odom was four of 12, had 10 points and sustained a rib injury that had him gingerly pulling his shirt over his head after the game.
Laker Report

Probably cartilage damage, there will probably be updates between now and the next game.

If people think Lamar is worthless, then why even worry about his injury?

^^ Simple, because any injury to Lamar only complicates our ability to trade him. I wish Lamar a speedy recovery.

Odom, who sustained sprained cartilage in his upper rib cage after smacking into David Harrison and Jeff Foster while chasing a loose ball, said he would try to play Friday against Charlotte because the Lakers needed to "start showing spirit."

It was in the same article, I had read it this morning, on the way to work, but for some reason, couldn't find it in the article when I posted the other piece.

Yes.

I was really suprised to see him back out there and now knowing that it was pretty painful - I'm happy that he's showing some fight.

Afterall he's good friends with Mr Dwayne "I'll sit out through a broken nail" Wade.

i still think some of the most impressive things kobe has done is play w/ those rib injurys like they were nothing.
He sure has a incredible tolerance for pain.

Hey, it's on his right side, that shouldn't be a problem.

Seriously, though, someone should send Phil the scene from Rocky (or was it II?), where Mickey (Burgess Meredith), made Rocky train with his left arm tied behind his back, forcing him to develop his right.

Imagin the shock throughout the NBA when Lamar drives right as hard as he now goes left!

Thank god his injury is not a big one,the trading process can be way easier without thinking about injuries.

Perhaps, Odom's injury is bad enough he'll consider RETIREMENT.

It would be a shame if the Lakers had Odom's $14-15 million to use on an All Star type player, rather than one with "potential".
