Your reasoning definitely makes it a tough call, even if Luke right now seems useless. Who else was left after drafting Luke (a high 2nd rounder)? . |
Kyle Korver? Willie Green? James Jones? Mo Williams? Hell Matt Bonner even. I'll rather have any of these guys than Puke. |
Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Boozer available during that Cook, Walton draft? |
i'm nearly certain the boozer draft was a year before.
i go with cook. howard, barbosa, and david west all could have been ours. i remember leading up to the draft hearing reports that mitch was loking closely at west.
west can shoot midrange as good as cook, but he also rebounds and is more athletic...hell, is there anybody in the league who isn't more athletic than cook?

This is a list for Laker picks.
I don't think it matters if Luke is second rounder. There was still guys like Bonner, Korver, Steve Blake (guys who actually can shoot).
AS for Douthit, he hasn't played for us, so I didn't consider him. He was also 56th and after that all there was were 3 losers no one ever heard of.
As for Sasha, players after him worth mentioning:
Udrih, Harrison, Varejao, Duhon, Ariza, Sow. |
