Poated by member "Now_I_Now " in the Lakers in the News forum, I thought we'd get more petition signers out here.

Channel 9, KCAL often tapes and delays the televising of Lakers games.

Many are annoyed by that, particularly LG members who have to make a difficult choice. Do you go onsite and see the results making watching the televising less interesting as you know the outcome? Or, do you stay away from LG for the 3 hours of the game watching it an hour after it really happened?

the beauty of tape-delayed games is that it saves you from wasting 3 hours of your life watching crappy basketball (like the loss to Indy) by browsing the results and knowing what to expect beforehand...

Not sure about some people, but I appreciate tape delayed games cause I get out of school and work, and am able to get back home in time to watch the game rather than wait till 1 AM in the morning to watch it and go through the whole day all tired.

I hate Sportsnet for showing Clippers vs Boston instead of Lakers vs Charlotte EVEN THOUGH the website clearly says Lakers vs Charlotte, F THE CLIPPERS

tape delay is very good for those of us who have jobs and don't have tivo. hell, even if you have tivo (like I do), you still have to manually ask it to record every laker game since you can't get a season pass for sports games.

exercise a little bit of self control and don't check the internet for a couple of hours; how hard is that? that way, not only do people who work have a chance to enjoy the game, but KCAL can get more ratings, which makes them much more willing to carry laker games.
