...or something related out there? The stat geeks seem to cover everything, but I've never seen this one.
People criticize Kobe for not passing. Others say he does pass, but the other guys blow the shot or pass it back with two seconds on the clock.
An "attempted assist" would be a nice solid indicator to support one view or the other. |

Well if you count all of the Laker perimeter misses, chances are they came from a Kobe pass. |

There are times when Kobe tries to do too much.. but, there are plenty of times Kobe passes and his teammates can't hit wide open shots.. none of them are good shooters. Cook maybe the only exception.
If your guys can't hit wide open shots, you are going to get frustrated and start forcing it.. I'm actually amazed that Kobe hasn't really done that these last couple games.. He is continuing to find them for open shots. |
