I wish I was there when it happened. Of course, now Kobe scores 40 points and it's 'yawn'.

Yeh 32-40 is normal for Bean now, anything under is an off day/shareball or a blowout.. Pippen is somewhat right about scoring in this handcheck era, we are getting 40 point games from alot of perimeter players like crazy. Kobe leads the league with 35.7 simply because he is the most consistent/best of them all.

The boy is ballin. Give credit where credit is due. Last season he scored 27 PPG with the same rules.

Jordan scored his 37.1 on about 28 shots.
Kobe is scoring 35.7 on about 27 shots.

I think it was easier for Jordan back then because scoring was higher in the league and more perimeter players shot high percentages. Besides, even in the 81 point game he was killing the Raptors from the perimeter. It's not like they gave him a red carpet to the basket and he abused it.
