I think i read somewhere that he may be activated for the next few games if Mihm and Odom are still nogos. Hopefully he'll get a few minutes of action.

Yes Turiaf was solid in the Summer League, but remember, it was the Summer League. Von Wafer anyone? Turiaf has also yet to play a minute in the NBA so we shouldn't expect him to be our savior either.

I think frustrated fans just want to see effort out there. It sometimes seem as if Kwame Brown has Seldom Campbell Syndrom. Since LO and Mihm aren't out there playing ball, that leaves only Smush, Cook, Kwame for fans to bash. And, Kwame got to be the lucky one with his lackluster play the past few games.

Here's a prediction: at least one poster on this forum will guarantee that Turiaf will be a Hall of Famer before he ever steps foot on the court...

Turiaf is not only a rookie.

He just came through heart surgery.

He will play less than half a year in a system that takes at least two summer camps to learn.

Ronny right now is not a two-way NBA player. His offensive post game is very basic and will be figured out by NBA scouts and PFs very quickly. He needs to develop couter moves.

He should be able to provide energy, defense and a few blocks.

The question remains can he learn Triangle 101 fast enought. He does not need to learn Triangle 237 because only Kobe and Luke have passed that class and DG has failed it 3 times.

I haven't been around the last week - what's the scoop in terms of Ronny being able to play? Last I heard his Visa needed to be changed from student status to a work status visa. Anyhow know the latest?

Dude. Phil is protecting Drew. He wants nothing but success for him If you play him now he will play well in spurts but his struggles will leave an imprint on his mind, the refs and the fans. We want his confidence sky high. Thats why we took him out after the Shaq incident and why he's being protected all season. Next year he'll be in the line-up as a backup to Mihm and I like you can't wait for that energy off the bench. But he'll take that starting line-up 3rd season, and if he has the fan support, he might be an all-star.

Maybe inserting Turiaf in the starting line up down the road will do wonders for Kwame (then again maybe not)

Agreed. I like Ronny's energy too. It's something that has been missing at times. I hope it rubs off on Kwame.
