I don't have the time to break it down per player, but I want to know what everyone thinks about the teams progress with the tri. I was watching an old finals game against the Pistons on nbatv back when Malone and Payton played. Now even though they never mastered the tri, it was amazing to see the difference in the spacing and when players took their shots.
Right now, we look like alot of guys running around dribbling, passing, running to this and that spot, and hopefully getting a shot off before the shot clock exp.
Grading on a scale of 1 to 5 in the triangle, I'd put us at about a 2. We have alot of players that are developing not only in the tri, but as nba players as well. I really don't know if this group is capable of mastering the tri, but hopefully they can start improving when we get fully healthy. |

I agree that we often look like we don't know where we are supposed to be. If that is the case, then Phil should see that it doesn't really matter if we make a mid-season trade because some of our players don't know the triangle any better than the new player will. _________________ Hope for the best. Phil might trade cause he looks like he's going even more crazy with losing. |

It's coming along. Obviously they're not there yet and have a long way to go. |

C+.
Bryant breaks the triangle.
Kwame is late making direct cuts to get into post position.
Smush Parker rarely makes a proper dive cut.
Bynum is... late on almost every aspect of the triangle.
Kwame doesn't utilize any advantage to working from the high post position.
Odom hasn't found his spot 15' and in, instead of just going directly to the post or 3pt. shot.
Anymore players to break down? _________________ Resident Car Nut.
