Why is everyone predicting a loss in Detriot? We are going 5-2 but we won't lose to Detroit.

If we beat Detroit, I won't post here for a week.

If the Lakers do that and have a winning road trip, I'll finally change my stance on the Lakers being at best a 7th seed team in the West. Outside a 6-1 or perfect road trip, I'm still not giving the Lakers much chance to catch the Suns for the Pacific.

5-2 is what it should be. Beating NY, Indy (sans Artest and O'Neal), Charlotte, New Orleans, and Houston should be a cakewalk. Detroit should handle this team. And I'm only predicting a loss in Dallas because it's near the end of the road trip and Dallas is gonna be pissed about 62. Truthfully, the Lakers shouldn't be that tired for the game. They get two days rest and they only have to travel about 3 hours (by car) from OKC to Dallas. Should be a fun game.

After their earlier 5-1 road trip and as well as they've played on the road this season, the Lakers have raised my hopes for this stretch. It's still brutal with the 3 back-to-backs, but I really don't see why they would lose anymore than 2 of these games. I could maybe see three if they drop one of the back-to-backs, but that's it.

I would say 4-3 is most likely.

You guys also have to remember that we have 3 back-to-backs in a row after we play Pistons. We also have a four games in four nights stretch as well.

Pistons: L
Knicks: W
Ind: W
Char: W
NOK: L (4th game in 5th night, too tired)
Dal: L
Hou: L

3-4

Bynum should get some minutes this road trip. I'll be optimistic, 5-2 trip.

the only games i see us losing for SURE are detroit and dallas(dont see us beating them twice in a season at dallas). and the rest are gimmie games. i predict we lose 1 of those gimmie games. so final prediction: 4-3

Phil Jackson has a knack for getting the teams he's coached to play well against half court teams like this (the championship series from two years ago doesn't count). I think 5-2 is likely if the lakers start well, (the Detroit game will be very close) if not (losses to Detroit and NY), its 2-5,

60 percent chance the Lakers go 5-2, otherwise its 2-5

as wrong as i was on that 5-1 trip, as as right as I am for this one. I predicted 1-6, and thats exactly what is going to happen as Kwame will be a true NBA player, before they will win in Houston with Yao back.
