I believe the FG% over those games is about 41% as well.

41% FG is the key, that's what ultimately matters in the playoffs.

two other key stats are lakers are 3rd in fewest TOs, and 2nd in rebounding.

those three stats are what win championships.

I think he missed too many games to start this season to get DPOY. But after all star break no doubt.

Not if the Lakers also give up lots of 2nd chance opportunities, which is also a key factor in the playoffs. The "50-50" balls as coaches would say.

Just to give an example that'll paint a better picture, the Lakers could hold a team to 39-41% shooting, but if they also gave 2-3 extra opportunities for every opponent trip down the court, they're probably looking at a loss OR a very tight game that shouldn't be that way.

Bynum missed too many games to be on the All-Defensive Team. A guy like Bogut should be on the 2nd All-Defensive Team, given how many minutes, games, and blocks that he averages and how much he's willing to give up his body to take charges.

At this point, we just need Bynum to stay healthy anyway.

And the Lakers do that more often than not (give up a lot of 2nd chance opportunities not lose games, mind you ).

If only they were an elite defensive rebounding team similar to their elite offensive rebounding... but I guess then it really wouldn't be fair for the rest of the league. Defensive rebounding is quite possibly the only thing that has consistently plagued this team this season (and championship malaise but that can be fixed)...

Well, with Drew's increased activity level on defense, I'm hoping that leads to better defensive rebounding (including limitation of 2nd chance opportunities) heading into the playoffs.

Odom and Barnes aren't quite as publicly active about the whole defense first thing anymore. I'm not making a commentary on their defense, but rather how in the beginning of the season they would remind each other what defense is all about and pump each other up about defensively dominating the game and whatnot.
