I can see it,but why cant phil. Here is the solution

C Mihm
PF Cook
SF Lamar
G Kobe
G Smush

Lamar in the post as a passer ( EVERY POSSESION) I mean every possession.

With Cook playing the high post. With teams doubling kobe with out the ball. Lamar in the post, with Smush cutting to the rack WIDE OPEN. Lamar in the post,Cook spotting up at the high post WIDE OPEN. Lamar odom will find the open man. The key is guys have to cut to the basket, and we will cut teams up. Lamar will find the open cutter. He will find Cook for his Mid-range jumper. Tonight Lamar should have had 13 assist, but they took him out the post as a passer, and put back in Kwame brown in the 4th quarter. Cook was out. Why on earth is Kwame brown posting up? He cant score, cant pass, does not draw any double teams.

If we use Lamar this way, especially with teams doubling kobe without the ball,we will cut teams up. Lamar is a very good passer from the post posiiton. With Kobe doubled,Lamar will find guys for easy layups and jumpers. Teams would then have to re-think there strategy,

Kwame in the post is a wasted possesion. time to stop experiminting with him in the post and run the offense through Lamar as a passer. Had we kept doing that tonight, with kobe attacking the rask, and not taking 25 footers. Lakers would have controled the entire 4th quarter.Lamar had 7 assist. Had he stayed in the post as a passer,he would have had 12 assist. Cook had 28 points, had he stayed in the game, with Lamar looking for him,he would have had 35 points.

If he has ever criticized Kobe, then I am sure he is considered a Kobe hater around here.

i was kidding about that

Lamar would average 10 assist per game if i were coaching.

1. Lamar out the post

2. cook in the high post

3 smush cutting to the basket

4 Kobe coming off screens.

Lamar is a awesome passer out the post. If only we used it on a permenent basis. Not just 1 or 2 possessions.

Maybe you should stop assuming things about other posters. It makes you look silly when you are so wrong.

Man you need to contact Phil, that plan might be better than our current one.

I see the word "defense" never appeared in your suggestions to make the team better. The fact is, until they start defending like they did earlier in the year, they can retool the offense all they want and still lose.

There is nothing wrong being with being an Odom. Maybe I should separate you two. THE_SHOES --> big, maybe too much of an odom fan.
ventura---> moderate Odom fan.

Why are you wasting your time here with us, Mr. Wooden? Run, don't walk, to the nearest phone and call the Lakers organization right now so that you can join the coaching staff immediately! Hurry, I beg you, hurry!

Of course I am an Odom fan, he is a Laker. Same with Kobe, Cook, Mihm, and the others. That is because I am a Laker fan, period.

Agreed, we are pretty much stuck with our players.

This will be my new Signature: Kill Mitch instead of Kobe>Jordan. My opinion

Lamar had 14 points 6 rebounds 7 assist

Cook had 28 points

what if Lamar stayed in the post as a passer the entire 4th quarter. Dude would have had 12 assist .

Phil stops doing whats working

Here's an idea to maximize talent. Trade for some real talent.

We have more "ingredients" than most people care to acknowledge.

5 steps

1) Start: Sasha,Kobe,George,Odom,Cook./ When Mihm returns, Sasha,Kobe,Odom,Cook,Mihm. I think Cook can play 3 for short stretches.
2) Play Smush off the ball at all times. He should get about 25+ minutes the lack of talent on this team.
3) Never give Kwame the ball. He should only set screens on offense
4) Odom on the left post, Bryant top of the key, Cook left wing (great offensive attack)
5) Never play more than 2 of Sasha/Kwame/Walton at the same time. Never play more than one of them without Kobe.

Healthy lineup

Sasha/Smush
Kobe/Smush/George
Odom/George/Walton
Cook/Odom/Turiaf
Mihm/Bynum/Kwame

I believe Sasha can be good. He is 1-2 years away like Bynum, but he can be good. I predict Sasha/Kobe is a tough backcourt to match up against next year, coupled with an improved Smush off the bench and a first rounder--Marcus Williams?... JJ would be the perfect Steve Kerr in the triangle. Maybe trade up to get JJ?

No for real. Our biggest chip is Odom. He could net us that 2nd option to Kobe or be traded for a couple smaller pieces. It's just that most fans have some false hopes he will turn into a star so they want to keep him. Not to mention we have Devean and Slava who are expiring contracts, a 1st round pick. There are deals out there to be made, it's just the that capspace plan is severely clouding management's judgement.

Kobe doesn't need to come off screens although it would be nice to see him do that.

Smush cutting to the basket...hmmm who is going to play defense and shoot the long ball and spread the defence?

Cook should be cutting to the basket and creating movement.

Lamar realistically if he is being guarded by a big player should play on the perimeter, if smaller player guards him then post him up. Realize his post up game really isn't that great. His passing is only above par.

The problem with Mihm is when he posts up he is slow and only turns towards the center, prone to collasping defense. you can't really use him in high screen rolls, cause no one respects his outside game, and his cuts are ineffective. You could use him for rebounding and doing the dirty work, but he always gets in foul trouble.

our starters though not stellar are hardly the problem. Its the knobs that come in for them. We just lack talent.
