no, what are you doing to change the %? kobe is shooting 34. and 44.6 | eFG% measures shooting efficiency by taking into account the total points a player produces through his field goal attempts. For ex: If Snaq has 3-5 FG, all two-point shots for 6 points, then his eFG% = [(6/5)]/2 = 60%. Meanwhile, if Kobe is 2-5 FG, but his 2 FGM are both three-pointers for 6 points, then his e FG% = [(6/5)]/2 = 60%. |
oh...ok. cool. |

I agree with the OP, Kobe seems either frustrated by the tough defenses and goes to a quick 3 early in the shot clock, or if he thinks he's hot he'll hoist a poorly thought out "heat check" 3 just to see if he's in the zone. I admit I get excited every time he throws one up, but the reality is those are not smart shots. Since Kobe is being hounded the way he is, the offense needs to run differently with Kobe not just getting it on the perimeter. Post Kobe up or something. The Bulls used to do that with Jordan all the time. _________________ "People don't think it be like it is, but it do." - Oscar Gamble

kobe cant even catch the ball in the spots jordan did.
He doesnt have the teammates to space the floor, the zone allows people to crowd him off the ball. |

Smart man. This is exactly why the Lakers need to get a hired gun on the roster.

Please not Kapono - yeah the guy can hit a shot, but I don't think I can stand another 1-dimensional stiff on the roster. |

i do think that Kobe's been taking too many 3's...he can hit them, but I've noticed that when he starts to take alot of 3's, so does the rest of the team. They pretty much follow his lead, as it should be. But if he's tossing up 3's at inopportune times during the game, I think it makes his teammates think that they have to shoot 3's to get back into the game...
honestly, i think this team as a whole is not good enough to run the triangle. sure, they can do the basic sets, but when the opposition starts to anticipate those initial passes, the Lakers have no idea what to do, and that's when Kobe has to go into his Batman act, trying to save the team every night. it's already wearing on him, he was WAAAy pissed off with his team last night. |

Heck, if he could get credit for degree of difficulty he'd hoist up some 5's as well. And you know what, his missed 5's would still be more interesting to watch than the 2's that everyone else is bricking. I'd say the others were trying to build a house, but it's obvious they're trying to build a bridge to Mars one brick at a time. Don't know; Maybe they think that's where their #2 scoring option resides.... _________________ I'm On point, On task, On message, and Off drugs. A Streetwise Smart Bomb, Out of rehab and In denial.
