32pts, 15 boards, 4 assist, 3 steals tonight against the Warriors. Wow.

Let it go guys. It's not like we traded a great player. We traded a guy that was AVERAGE as a starter last year. Inconsistent. No D. Scorers mentality and that's about it. Every now and then he puts it altogether, like tonight.

But not nearly enough.

Washington is near the bottom of the league defensively. Currently Golden State has 124 in regulation. Only a 4 point difference.

Yep, average. He gave up just as many points or MORE than he would score. He was an average starting SF. Sure, on that horrible team, he looked like a world beater. But that's just it. He was playing on a bad team.

if that.

he only played hard when his shot was falling, didnt have a good season until lamar went out for the rest of the season.

hes an above average SF in a league with 2 many of them.

who cares what he is doing.

Exactly. You can just about put ANY SF on a bad team and, given starter's minutes, he'll look great cause he'll be putting up the points. SF are a dime a dozen. SF that want to score and do nothing else, are also a dime a dozen.

Average starting SF.

I doubt there's a GM in the L that would call Caron average right now....

Right now were so desperate for scoring Cook's getting big minutes. Talk about a defensive liability.

Caron's defense likely would've improved under PJax and his all-star coaching staff...

Still dont think we should've kept him if the idea was the precious 07 plan...

We shouldve got a hella lot more for him that deadbeat Kwame Brown. Hell, maybe we should've offered Caron 2 years for 16 mil, maybe he would've stayed. He definately would've been more tradeable than the bust we got for him.

Offense is only half of the story. Kwame plays good post defense. Caron plays no defense.

How many points did Butler hold Yao to last time they played?

What about Shaq?

Dude, Butler flat shut down Shaq! Shaq couldn't score one time down on the block against Butler. Every time he saw Butler he'd go to the other side of the floor. Caron is a God!

Caron Butler's season averages:

33.8 minutes

16.1 points

.434 shooting percentage (.250 on threes)

5.3 rebounds

2.5 assists

2.0 turnovers

1.6 steals

Given his defensive weakness (or inconsistency, if you're feeling charitable), calling him "average" may be charitable.

Good thing he saved a game like this playing against the Warriors because I wanted them to lose.
