Honorable Mention: Isiah Thomas

The question was about PLAYERS. Zeke is a very bad GM, but a dumb player?
Did you see him play? I hated him and his Bad Boy cohorts but he was one hell of a smart player. After Magic I rate Isiah right up there with Tiny Archibald.

Slow down man, it was intended as a joke. And besides, if you look at my list, I was considering overall intelligence, not simply what's displayed on the court.

I agree, Thomas was a good player (though I hated the badboys passionately), but man, that guy's dumber than a sack of doorknobs.

Just because they're dumb doesn't make them horrible players. Stephen Jackson makes some of the dumbest mental mistakes I've seen on a court, but he has enough talent to make up for it.

Basketball Dumb
- Kwame Brown
- Kelvin Cato
- Samaki Walker
- Greg Ostertag
- Stephen Jackson

Life Dumb
- Chris Anderson
- Latrell Sprewell
- Ruben Patterson
- Isiah Rider
- Qyntel Woods

Not far from mine, I actually was posting the first list on the thread and closed my explorer earlier.

(before then binge-drinking for hours on end and playing Madden with the fellas).

Anywho, I had it the same way ("On-Court Dumb" and "Off-Court Dumb").

Mine...

On-Court Dumb

Kwame Brown
Maurice Taylor
Darius Miles
Stephen Jackson
Eddy Curry

Off-Court Dumb*

Ron Artest
Jason Williams
Clifford Robinson
Ruben Patterson
Qyntel Woods

(honorable mention non-current players: Shawn Kemp, Chris Anderson, Isiah Rider).

* Mine aren't "Life Dumb" exclusively, more a mix of how dumb they come
across in interviews combined with stupid public comments and poor life
decisions as well.

odom was not mentioned before you said that.

i'll have to say that kwame, smush and odom have got to be the dumbest COMBINED STARTERS on one team.

name 3 other starters on one team that make as many mental mistakes as these 3.

Josh Smith, Zaza Pachulia, and Al Harrington.

(combine for 10.6 TO per/48m, ast/TO ratio respectively: 0.62, 1.15, 0.65)

HHHHHhhhaaa! I was going to go to Atlanta but, that would have been to easy!

Some people just hate the Lakers. I still can't understand how a fan of any team can just hate on em like that...

(sigh) must be the Homer in me I guess...

OMG...Terry alone is better than Odom/Kwame/Smush.

Terry has mental lapses from time to time. I reflected on last years playoffs when Dirk lost his mind in the middle of the floor on Jason. Also his TO ratio isn't setting any rave reviews either. Of the three he is no doubt the best but, don't tell me Damp and Griff are such "blue chip" ball players that our trio in question who would probably shine within the Mavericks offensive system is any less sharp.

This has been my pet peeve for the longest for people who insist everybody out there is better than the Lakers. You put everybody out there in the tri and let me see first. That is bull (bleep)...
