Offense:
I think the key on winning this game is by Kobe making assists for Cook and Kwame.
And if there's no option for an assist, Kobe has to make his shots.
And don't do too much 3 pointers when it's not needed.
Drive to the basket and good things will happen.
Defense:
Let's be honest, this has where the Lakers have struggled entirely.
They should not do many Double Teams, it's a risk and can result for an open shot and confusion.
Blockers should pay their fullest attention on the paint and try to play D whenever someone drives inside. Don't just stare at him!
Flashback:
Remember when Damon Stoudamire hit a 3 pointer to send it to OT?
And Memphis end up winning it...That was just very disappointing.
I hope it'll be a different story this time. |

we need mihm back. Hes our only reliable post scorer. Memphis is a good peremiter defensive team. Their gonna clog the lane alot so we need to make our outside shots or feed it to someone inside. Need to outhuslte them. They like to crash the boards alot.
Overall we just need to win these home games. We have 22 of 33 games left at home. 8 straight coming up. Thats really good for us. If we can just take care of them, well be more than fine come April. _________________ Pain is temporary, at the end of pain is success... |

we are going to mash them. This is when we finally get over the hump of 5 games over 500. We will win 8 in a row _________________ Lakers Tickets |

Don't do too many three pointers, unless Cook is shooting his 50% average for the season. _________________ "Darkness cannot drive out darkness. Only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate. Only love can do that." ~~Martin Luther King Jr.~~ |

They have got to stop shooting so many 3's. They have to defend better. And I think Kobe has to do what he normally does which is try to keep get the team involved early and dominate in the second half. I just wish he would stop shooting so many 3's. |

Kobe loves that 3. I honestly thought that in the beginning of the season, he would just shoot mid ranged jumpers all year and just shoot 3's when needed...boy was I wrong. |

You're telling me! I thought the same thing that 3-point line is like heroine. Kobe can't stay off it. |

oh yea, Memphis just lost to Clippers last night, so thats a good sign.
At least Memphis confidence will go down a bit. |

If Cook is hitting they should let him shoot threes. 50% means 1.5 points per fga. That is highly efficient. Cook is outshooting Peja. Nobody complains when Peja shoots. The team in general shouldn't shoot too many threes, but Cook is the shooter. Imagine Cook's trade value if he keeps shooting the way he has the past two games. I hope he scores 30. _________________ "Darkness cannot drive out darkness. Only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate. Only love can do that." ~~Martin Luther King Jr.~~ |

I also think Walton and Vujacic shouldn't come in at the same time. |

Grizz kinda suck, I mean besides Gasol no one is very consistent. E Jones has fallen off his game for Fartello it seems, he too is inconsistent and without D Stoudamire, who can really hit a shot in the 4th or in pressure situations. Bobby Jackson still needs time to come back from his injuries. I went to the last Memphis game, and I SAW KOBE NAIL MILLER...
I as a fan LOVED IT. I think Kobe's going to have a BIG GAME AGAINST THE GRIZZ!

Hmm...I didn't know D. Stoudamire isn't playing, that's a little bit of relief.
But I'm sure other guys will step up. |

Believe it or not, I actually like the Memphis team. They have good balance. I think they are just missing a little toughness. |

For me, these are the key things to watch for:
1.) Will Kwame continue his more intense play, or will he continue to be an inconsistent "problem-child", that, probably, should be traded??
2.) Will Cookie continue his hot streak, and be a consistent 2nd, or 3rd option?
3.) Is Lamar at 100%, and will he play a decent, smart game?
4.) Will Mihm, Turiaf, and Bynum get some decent playing time, to keep them from getting too much "rust"?
5.) We need this game, to salvage some Laker Pride, before this season is over.
I'm going to be watching Bobby Jackson closely... I think he might be a good fit, for the Lakers... I've seen Bobby do a decent job of ballhandling, and facilitating, when Bibby went down. I'm going to see if I wasn't just delusional. _________________ "Teamwork is a nebulous thing. It is as ephemeral as love, disappearing at the latest insult.".... Phil Jackson |
