Well...when we arrived...the police had locked down the convention center street...causing us to go around to enter staples...

so we get to our seats...and THANK GOD THAT THEY CHANGED THE INTRO FROM CRAPPY NBA-LIVE THINGS to a "ok" highlight reel. Oh, and they messed up Kwame and Cook's starting line-up images on the big screen

Kobe getting his All-Star jersey was very cool...everybody was going mad.

The crowd was quiet throughout the 1st quarter....

then we took steam when we made a big run in the 2nd.

Halftime was pretty normal....2 guys were shooting for 100 bucks, and a guy was in the Comerica cash grab thing....nothing new

3rd quarter was pretty exciting...then of course the 4th was the best until the end

I think if we did have TO left....Phil or Lamar should have called it when Kobe was that far out....a great game by Kwame wasted!

The crowd went wild when Bynum checked in...and even crazier when he made that sky-hook.

And we got pissed when Bynum wasn't getting calls!

A good game...too bad we lost

i was at the game too, they had a shooting at the convention center at a college expo of all things thats why the streets and heavy police presence. The refs were awful a lot of ticky tack fouls, kwame had a good game, smush sat too long and odom is suspect.

Do you mind explaining what you mean, by "Phil or Lamar should have called it..."?? Sorry, I just want to know if I'm on the same page...

I thought Kobe could have dished off, at the last moment, after drawing about 3 defenders, but that's water under the bridge. Our team is not working together enough, where Kobe would instinctively know where Cook, or George would be, for that quick dish-off. In fact, I saw no one make an effort - to work themselves in the open... Everyone just stood back, to watch Kobe. That is a sign of a team that is not working together.

What I caught briefly in the 4th quarter.

Kobe going 0 of 6 for a 5 minute stint at the beginning of the 4th.

That's when Memphis made a run to make up the deficit.

Critical time, Bynum left. Kwame fouled out.

Odom has his chest wrapped up.

Offensive execution declined late.

Too much Kobe in Iso, despite hitting 2 critical jumpers.

Cook's trigger finger.

Poor double screen execution for the last play to set up Bryant.

So that's what the big raucous was outside the game.

Related to the game though, the refs were absolutely inconsistent throughout. A few minutes everybody is getting called for touch fouls. A few minutes nobody's getting a call. Kobe was getting mauled in the 4th qtr right in front of the refs and the basket, and he was getting no love from the stripes. I don't think the refs ended up deciding the game, but they definitely were NOT consistent. That drove me insane.
