pretty much. i read someone showing the trend of the Lakers being the inspirational team FOR the opposition. Looks like it's becoming uncannily a trend. |

yes lakers suck, odom sucks, kupchak sucks, etc., etc. when you're going to mss the playoffs in consecutive years for the first time in two decades, there's a lot of sucking to go around |

If the Lakers miss the playoffs this year which they will if they don't make any trades Mitch will be fired. He's knows that his career is on the line. |

he will make a trade. he has no choice. We have alot of games at home left but whats the big deal about that if you can't win at home? This roster sucks and we need a couple of players to make the playoffs. |

I knew it. Nothing has been agreed to. Mitch is waiting and waiting and waiting again. He won't pull the trigger when he needs to and WILL screw it up. Just like he did with the Bender and #17 pick. _________________ Stephon Marbury on Kobe: "He's the only person on 'dis earth that can do 'dat. He guards people, like shuts 'em down. this team is a total mess. the roster is completely mediocre. our only real prospect is years away, kobe is great but isn't getting younger. still 1.5 years from being under the cap, but no FAs available. it's always a long road back. |

I thought a trade was all but done? Now the comments in this thread make it sound like something "could" happen because the team really needs it. The team has needed it for two years and nothing has happened, so I'm not holding my breath on this one. I'm sure the Lakers will swing and miss again, and after Feb 23rd we'll all hear about the stuff that could have happened. |

Hey Lionel:
I am surprized YOU would say this. Don't you think Mitch's hands are tied by the boss with all the limitations out on him and all the indecision and vetos? Mitch is just doing what he is told. |

I thought the thread was about the Lakers are the team who get bad teams out of slumps, such as the Bobcats 13 game losing streak and the Grizzles 7 games (or something like that) losing streak. |

Either way, it's a win-win situation. Lakers make the playoffs or Mitch gets fired! I like the sound of that. _________________ Just chill and watch the new Dynasty evolve...
Time for the Lakers to create a whole new legacy! We want 10 more trophies boys! |

I think the problem goes deeper... I'm thinking in terms of Jerry Buss, and his mindset. Remember, the team owner has the final say, on who he's willing to sign, or not sign. _________________ "Teamwork is a nebulous thing.
