I was invited to the Lakers Brunch today for the season ticket holders. The event took place at the Harbor House restaurant in Marina Del Rey. It was great, they had some Lakers Girls and one of the championship trophies on display. I also had a chance to meet Kwame Brown, Andrew Bynum, Devin Green and Von Wafer. Devean George was supposed to come, too, but he wasn't there for some reason. I really liked Kwame's personality, he was by far the friendliest of the bunch and seemed really nice. He looked like he was enjoying taking pictures with the fans and signing autographs. I told him he had a great game on Saturday and he thanked me. Too bad the Lakers lost. Bynum was also friendly, though kind of shy. Green and Wafer sat together and talked to each other the whole time, they looked like they are buddies. They didn't seem very cheerful, but still posed for pictures and signed autographs.

People also had a chance to ask the players questions. Someone asked what they are working the most on. Kwame said he is working on his free throws and Wafer said he is working with weights because he wants to be stronger. Green was asked what was the most memorable moment of his basketball career, and he said the day when he found out he would be playing for the Lakers. I can't remember what Bynum was asked, but he didn't say anything interesting, or I would have remembered it.

They also had a raffle. The prizes included a pair of courtside seats to the Lakers game against Orlando Magic, also some tickets to the Lakers Casino Night, various signed items and other stuff. I didn't win anything. They also gave everyone a Carl's Jr. poster with West, Abdul Jabbar and Kobe (the same one that was advertised on TV). Von Wafer got a poster for himself, which I thought was funny.

Here a few pics that I took at the restaurant.

All the pics tell me "You are Forbidden to Access..." with the filename.

Anyone else having that problem?

im a season ticket holder for the last 7 yrs and i didnt get an invite. im in the 200 section. this must have only been for the 100 section im assuming.

I'm a season ticket holder for 10 years in the 100 section and didn't receive an invite and it appears he's only been a season ticket holder for a couple of years, so I don't know what type of process they used to select the invitees. Maybe it was via a random drawing. Did you need to pay for the event tickets?
