I don't know if this has been discussed before, but do you think that Mitch might be waiting to get Wade. Maybe he is assuming that Shaq will drive him off by then. I think he could run the point triangle style. He's a tall for a point guard. We'll have Kobe and Wade in their prime years with Bynum in the middle. I think that would be an awesome core. Can it happen? Would it work?

No. Riley rewrote Walkers contract, team option years beginning in Wade's free agency. Also, we need frontcourt help, we already have Kobe in the backcourt.

That would be nice but probably not likely...he might get inked to an extention next year at the rate he is playing...I like your thinking though...I thought about that for a minute and then brushed it off/forgot it so....

wade is about to inherit a franchise. tell me why he'd want to take less money to come to LA and be a #2 option again?

Forget Shaq. Wade is the KING of Miami - he's not going anywhere.

I actually disagree. Wade drives alot and plays inside and penetrates. Kobe has taken more of a pull up jumper role off screens and how own gaming skills. Kobe creates a lot more for himself and moves well with the ball, while Wade plays within the offense and moves well without it. I think it would make for a dynamic backcourt. Kobe could play three as well. I think it works. We need solid size inside. Imagine a lineup like this:

Pass first PG
Wade
Kobe
KMart
Bynum

Solid. High scoring, good defense. Contender.

Actually, no, we wouldn't have him. Shaq wasn't going to Miami unless Wade was there, so that's that. And WE do have a competent GM.

On what grounds can u call our gm competent? Everyone around the league doesnt know about him and u u know what he's about. We have given mitch enough excuss, o, its ok, u know its phil, its the triangle, its the cap, its shaq's salary, its jim and jerry buss...u ever heard of u dont make excuss. Their is a saying " IT is ,what it is", im tired of this sugar coating of mitch, i dont call for his head but please dont embarasse me with more justification of mitch kupchak.

I really could never see Wade coming to play with Kobe. Really. Never. Really.

Then again - James Bond said NeVER SAY NEVER.
