Kobe just finished a quick "All Star" interview on NBATV's ongoing
coverage of general All-Star Weekend stuff.

Anywho, nothing too unusual was said, mostly PC type of stuff...

But the basics from what I remember...

The interviewers brought up that Kobe was from Philly and that so are
a couple of other All-Stars this year also started in Philly. Kobe agreed
that Philly has a great deal of hoops history and that everyone thinks of
Wilt being from there, but there are many other good Philly players (he
mentioned Earl "The Pearl" as an example).

They asked about his 81-points, and he pretty much just said the same
thing as before, saying he'd been trying to spark the team and it "just
turned into something special."

He said he thought the hype that's followed the 81-point game is a good
experience for a young Laker-team because it makes alot of the games
they play into more of a "playoff atmosphere" when teams and crowds
get psyched to play the Lakers.

He mentioned briefly that he felt the Lakers would turn thing around down
the stretch and that the break would help them.

That's about it from what I remember.

There's more ongoing stuff of NBATV all day (and probably all weekend)
so just a heads up for anyone who doesn't know.

It has to be tough for Kobe at the All Star game since Shaq and Wade are there together and this is their second All Star game as teammates. In addition, the Heat were one game away from the Finals and the Lakers went from the Championship game with Shaq to the Lottery without Shaq. Now Kobe is doing everything physically possible just to keep the Lakers at .500.

There is no doubt, Shaq is walking around all weekend with a big smile on his face every time he's near Kobe.
