or are they just on a hot streak?

Even without Chris Paul, those guys are playing pretty damn good. What would it take to get Speedy Claxton on our team?

I think they will probably slow down in the 2nd half.

I was shocked when I saw that their record was better than ours. I had no idea they were doing so well, who knows how long they can keep it up.

Paul is definitely living up to his potential. Yet, he almost quit basketball.

Good news is we play them three more times this season, twice at home. Those three games will be extremely critical for us.

Average is very good for the Hornets. Last season they managed to get the #4 overall pick. Average is quite an improvement.

I am sure they are probably surprised themselves. I mean look at their line up. Just goes to show that effort/luck [West I think has made 3 game winners] and team play can win games. Of course having Paul helped. Am sure the Jazz sure wished they picked him instead.

If we had the Hornets record no one here would be doubting if we were "for real" or not. Its been said 1000x, the Hornets have bought into what Byron Scotts system. Theyve got a stud in Paul (goes to show you what a PG is worth). The Hornets arent going to suprose anyone anymore, but they sure as hell are going to be at least .500 for the second half of the season and finish with 46 or 47 wins (unlike us).

IMO David West is the MIP and not Diaw.

They've got a good mix of vets and young players right now.

Paul is just amazing. West is the MIP in the league. PJ Brown and Mason are solid veterans. They're way better than expected, but will be average until they get another star in there. JR Smith has tons of potential but seems like a head-case. Get a star SF or C in there and they'll be monsterous. They shoulda tried for Darko.

I'm happy for Byron for getting them going in the right direction. I was surpirsed to see them doing so well, but at the same point the coaching staff and management did a nice job of getting a system that fits their key personel and making moves to even further improve them.

An example was trading Maglore for Mason to start the season. With the way Paul and Claxton like to push the rock, it was smart to add another fast breaking type player.

I don't think they are going to be this good for the rest of the season, but I do think they have a very real chance of grabbing one of the last two playoff spots.

CP3 is a top 5 point guard....they are not "for real" now, but they will be soon.

They got a great team..but I think they'll cool down. They will be battling for a spot and a high chance they will make the playoffs. But they are doomed in the playoffs and they remind me of the sonics a couple years back
