Going through this board cracks me up seeing trade proposals for Nene who is likely out for the rest of the season and people are saying the Lakers should trade Slava Medvedenko who is also likely out for the rest of the season. Why would the Lakers or any other team for that matter want to trade for a player like Nene this season and why would any team want to trade for Medvedenko this season unless he's a throw in? Let's be realistic here.

But if he's damaged goods whose going to take him this season? It'd be great if someone took him off the Lakers' hands, but lets be realistic.

Nene will be back in April. He's already in far better shape now than he was before (decreased his bodyfat 2%, retaining most of his lean mass).

Obviously Slava for Nene is absurd. I wouldn't be surprised if Slava is done as an NBA player. But trading for Nene, who will be available for the end of the season push and the playoffs, I'm not going to complain.

Youre not getting it, people want an injured expiring guy, cuz they can just cut him and then have money in the offseason.

Slava will always have that championship ring though.

If Slava is only worth 3 mil, how much is Nene worth? Does he have max deal in place?
