I really liked wilcox..
eitgher way if he wasnt doing anything special with us now he probably would never have
I'll still support him with the Sonics, and am welcoming Radmanovic to the Clippers _________________ A Clipper/Laker Fan

Wilcox might be interested in signing with the Lakers for the MLE. _________________ "Darkness cannot drive out darkness. Only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate. Only love can do that." ~~Martin Luther King Jr.~~ |

Wilcox will be a restricted free agent this Summer. Wilcox has lived in L.A. for a fairly long time. He might not mind coming back here, but play with the Lakers instead of the Clippers. It's a question of whether or not the Sonics want to match an offer of a MLE. I'm sure he will get offers in that range. The Lakers may have to add another PF after they get finished making trades. Slava is likely leaving. _________________ "Darkness cannot drive out darkness. Only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate. Only love can do that." ~~Martin Luther King Jr.~~ |

The Sonics had Vlad's Bird Rights. He was on a qualifying offer, so they couldn't trade him without permission. I would think his Bird Rights would transfer to the Clippers, because they traded for him. I'm not sure why the Clippers would have to use their MLE. He is unrestricted, but continuity was maintained, because he was traded. He was never waived to my knowledge. _________________ "Darkness cannot drive out darkness. Only light can do that. Bird rights don't transfer in the case - thus the Clippers needing the MLE _________________ Salary Cap Strategist and Columnist at Bleacher Report and on Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/EricPincus |

I'm curious why they do not. _________________ "Darkness cannot drive out darkness. Only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate. Only love can do that." ~~Martin Luther King Jr.~~ |

Has to do with Vlad taking the one -year tender as a restricted free agent - in the old cba he could not be traded at all. The new one he can be - but he loses his bird rights - and has the ability to block a trade - which he did not. _________________ Salary Cap Strategist and Columnist at Bleacher Report and on Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/EricPincus |

Thanks Eric! I didn't realize the rules had been modified as such. I suppose if he had stayed with his old club the Bird Rights would have been retained? _________________ "Darkness cannot drive out darkness. Only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate.
