They always grant access while the chats are going on, then lock them
for non "Insiders," so I'm just posting this for anyone who gets locked
out (like I will) once it's done and they post the transcript.
The only Laker related stuff...
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chris (san antonio): Would you start a new team around Kobe or Tim
Duncan
Marc Stein: (11:25 AM ET ) Normally I'd go for the All-Star size but
Duncan's health woes are starting to concern me.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
James (L.A): How does a swap with Steve Francis for Lamar Odom work
out for the Lakers and the Magic respectively?
Marc Stein: (11:26 AM ET ) It's a dream for the Magic and doesn't work
at all for the Lakers. Which is why it won't happen. Lamar might be
moved in the off-season but L.A. ain't going to trade big for small to put a
guy who needs the ball next to Kobe.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Also from a Cold Pizza report (paraphrasing here)
Francis - pursuit is heaviest from Knicks, with Portland and Denver both
trying to involve themselves to make it a three-way deal.
Iverson - the Sixers have supposedly shopped him harder the last
month or so than they have in years of speculation, but are expected to
make no moves before the deadline - possibly deal him in the summer. |

Well Marc Stein is Captain Obvious at this point.
Which is why I say it makes NO SENSE AT ALL for Odom to be dealt for ball-dominant Steve Francis. Especially next to Kobe. |

I agree Belmont.
Try explaining the triangle and how poorly Franchise fits into it to the
extreme LO-haters on this board though who'd gladly trade him for a
chicken sandwich.
<sigh>
At least there are a few of us sane-types left. |
