Trade Deadline Approaching(update, no trade?)

I talked to my friend today in the Lakers media for the first time in 3 weeks. He said a trade with New York was looking very possible and up to Saturday there was much hope that a trade would go through. But when we mentioned Frye, they mentioned Bynum and we are no longer in talks with them. Orlando and Minnesota are really not on our radar.

We ARE looking at some veterans on different teams, not sure who they are. Also, on Friday Mitch contacted Latrell Spreewell.

I don't think there will be a blockbuster trade, if there will be a move its more likely to be a FA signing than a trade. Nevertheless, don't rule it out.

After all the speculation about kg, francis, t-mac, etc. etc... when the deadline passes and slava is still on the team, there's gonna be a riot on this board.

Update: There will NOT be a trade at the deadline. My friend talked to Jeannie Buss and she said they will not entertain any offer that includes Odom or Bynum.

Without those two being traded, Devean doesn't have a trade value.
