anyways, back to reality, how bout that Odom guy eh? Think he played that game last so well so we wouldn't trade him? Probably suckered Mitch and Buss into keeping him. _________________

Lionel can you tell us rather we will make a trade or not, we don't want the question to be hanging in our heads in the next 24 hours... just please tell us rather we are or not for we can focus on this Lakers team. |

Sky said this on CL
Quote: | Now is not the time to be drawing conclusions. Wait 24 hours, see what happens, then do what you will.
Francis to NY for Penny and Ariza opens the floodgates, those were the dominoes that had to fall first. If Denver wants to move KMart, the Lakers are basically it. While I expect Martin to stay put, the option is out there if the Lakers want to pursue it.
I don't see a need to bash Lionel and Brock. JVG has been sold on Odom by his brother, Tmac is facing a lot of emotional, family and basketball problems, something could still happen. So given that the possibility remains, keep an open mind. Remain skeptical, getting high impact talent is never easy, but keep a silver lining of hope. Hope is the fun part of the deadline.
Watson and Crawford need to find homes, maybe KMart and Boozer. Watson to Seattle makes sense, hearing Steven Hunter to Chicago or Utah.
In the past Lionel has had stuff no one else did with Jackson and Coach K, as a result he has at least earned your patience. Please wait until the deadline before drawing conclusions. |
Hopefully we get something done. |

Seriously, I move around a lot, I don't want to have keep buying new jerseys every time I move.
And for the love of god, I do not ever want to be a Pistons fan! I moved to MI for a job, not for basketball. _________________ Courage doesn't always roar.

Why would people in the know want to tell anyone anything? They only get it thrown back in their face. Respect others and stop trolling just because you don't agree with their info. |

heres the link... |
some people on here need to be schooled. where is the link from the toronto paper? quit misleading us. you should have said in your original that it was from a poster on realgm. |
"insiders" are just having fun with us...we arent getting tmac, or kg, or francis, or pierce, or r. lewis, or whoever else has been mentioned.
i guess these fantastic insiders forget who our GM is sometimes... |
What about Shaq? |
Oh my bad...forgot about the big fella...
lets get our starting lineup straightened out...according to insiders of course...
shaq, garnett, tmac, kobe, francis
who said we needed phil...look at our new team! |
And we got them all for ODOM!!! _________________ "Every time he comes out of the game, all I say is put the hero back in," Bynum said. "It's like a video game, he's just going out there and scoring a crazy amount of points."

Please people don't get your hopes up for anything. Last time we believed the insiders, we were supposedly a lock to get Boozer, or were going to get Granger for Devean George. |

With the NBA trade deadline just hours away, we thought we'd put together our own little Dime Trade Wish List. Almost of the guys listed below have been mentioned in multiple trade scenarios and we're picking out the deal we'd most like to see for each player.
The Steve Francis/Penny Hardaway-Trevor Ariza deal sent ripples throughout the League Wednesday afternoon. Penny's massive expiring contract was one of the most valuable bargaining chips being floated around in every rumor this year and now that it's gone, everyone has to regroup to make something happen before the deadline.
We're not salary cap experts and we're not saying that these are the deals that will definitely happen, but these are some of the trades we'd like to see go down before 3 p.m. ET Thursday.
Kevin Garnett to the Lakers
Other teams interested: Knicks, Bulls
KG has had that forlorn, "Please God, get me out of here" look on his face for about two years now. All of the rumors are that if and when he gets dealt, he wants to go to New York to ball in the NBA's largest market. Can't really blame him, can you? Is there any doubt that if he was in a larger market since he came into the L we'd be talking about KG in the same breath as some of the all-time greats? Garnett would have been everywhere for the last decade. Unfortunately, after the Knicks made the move for Francis, KG to NYC is unlikely.
We have been hearing, though, that the Lakers are making a late push for Garnett. And by all accounts they'd be crazy to refuse giving up any of their young talent if they have a legit shot at KG (and if we were Kevin McHale, we'd settle for nothing less than Andrew Bynum and Lamar Odom). Can you image Garnett and Kobe on the same team? They can . |

Murphy and Fisher to Utah, Boozer to LA, George and Mihm to GS.
Not bad. If Boozer is faking injury, it does give us a legit 2nd scorer and a strong rebounding team. Still need to get a good PG to take over iniating duties. |

Would have been better if we took Troy Murphy and Derek Fisher out of that deal instead -- it at least addresses veteran guard and rebounding + more from Murphy. _________________ A proud member of LakersGround.net for over 10 years [since April 28, 2001] |

So I guess Boozer will magically heal once he gets here. LA gets the short end on that trade if Boozer's hammy doesn't hold up. _________________

That's why I don't like it at all. We tried to get Boozer last year. Does Mitch have any other trades he can come up with other than rehashing the same **** from last year??? _________________
