This is just FYI for fellow late night surfers, hoping with each hit on the refresh button will be the one that reveals a solid move by the Lakers.

This one is actually the most likely for the conservative laker fans out there.....................

Rockets Looking To Move Anderson To One Of Five Teams
23rd February, 2006 - 2:20 am
Houston Chronicle - According to the Houston Chroncile Derek Anderson is attracting some interest, with up to five teams considering acquiring the shooting guard.

The Rockets have tried to complete a deal to move Anderson to the Heat, Cavaliers, Lakers, Nuggets or Magic.

However, each team had other, greater priorities, making a deal with the Rockets unlikely until closer to today's 3 p.m. deadline.

"Everyone's aggressive right now to try to better their team," Rockets coach Jeff Van Gundy said. "I don't think there's one team that's not aggressively looking to better their team. Some general managers will tell you that. Usually the losing ones, like us ... you guys would think we were nuts if we said, 'You know what, we really like how it's going this year. This is good stuff right here, so we're going to stand pat and feel good.'

"The other ones are going to try to con you. They're trying to get better, too. Detroit is, I'm sure, going to try to find a backup point. Either you're going to try to get better or you're trying to dump contracts so you can get better.

"Either way, you're trying to do something. But every article is the same: We don't expect anything to happen. If it doesn't, 'It's hey I told you.' If it does, it came up at the last second."

DA, F** that and keep the team the way it is. I'll be pissed if we move D. George for DA.

It better be a second rounder for DA and not George or I will go to Mitch's office and beat him down myself.

I'd do DG for David Wesley in a heart-beat.

I agree about not moving DG for DA.

DG > DA and neither one is that likely to be here after this summer.

I do like the part about all of those teams "having bigger priorities."

That gives some hope that we have a better deal we're working on
somwhere in the mix.

David Wesley is deteriorating fast. He's plan C or D at best.

Anderson is GARBAGE. Hasn't shot over 40% since 2002 and turns the ball over like mad. I'll be upset if we get him because he offers nothing new to the squad.

Derek Anderson is a BUM. We already have BUMS -- namely Aaron McKie and Slava Medvedenko here.

I'd rather trade George for Ruben Patterson. DA would not improve this team in my opinion.

They've got to be kidding.

But i guess it doesn't hurt to ask.

Plus we'd have to waive somebody. But i guess if no one takes on Slava's expiring K, that won't be too hard of a decision.

DA fits in the group of players who are are so deficient in professionalism and intelligence that the league would be better off without them.

PLEASE do NOT allow this man to be put on our roster.

Why is that? He's a good role player. They're not going to re-sign George in the summer, so unless they trade him, they're going to lose him for nothing. We'd be left without a 6th man on a bench that is already thin.

Ruben would be productive off the bench. He's averaging 11 off the bench in Portland on 49% shooting. He shoots 51% for his career and defensively he's above average. Just tonight he scored 25 on 9-of-14 shooting.

He'd be better than Derek Anderson, that's for sure. Plus his contract runs through next season.
