I'm all for KG if possible, but Boozer is realistic and IF we can get him I think Lakers fans are going to love him. He strong, passes well, and his scoring is going up.

We can't afford George anyway next season, and he will beat us once in the future-but it's time to move him. Overall he has been a disappointment.

Considering both Kwame Brown and Chris Mihm cannot.

Im watching the game hes not impressing me but i think this is a good trade. Boozer is very solid not an allstar talent but he plays defense & can hit 20 footers more consistent than mihm. hes also a more consistent rebounder. I wish we could get harpring too.

I was at the Hornets game tonight and the Jazz were in town. Boozer is a freaking big dude!!! I was sitting in the front row. I've never scene Boozer in person. He is every bit 6'10" and 260 lbs. Boozer is built like a house. The most amazing thing about Boozer, not only does he know how to play the game, he moves like he is 225 lbs. It is obvious Boozer played ball at a Duke. The kid sets great screens, blocks out around the basket as he boards, closes off his defender as he sets up in the post and can hit the 12 foot jump shot.

I'm not buying the rip on Boozer about him being soft. Personally, I think Boozer was pulling a "Vince Carter" by faking an injury so he could get traded. Watch out for Boozer; he's young, huge and knows how to play the game. Boozer will be a stud in this league for a long time. Considering he left Duke 3 years ago, he'll have a long successful career.

The Lakers would be very fortunate to land Boozer. He's more of man and basketball player than Kwame and Odom combined. Boozer also makes the same amount as Odom, so I don't think he's over paid. I'm not suggesting the Lakers unload Odom for Boozer. But if it happens, I believe the Lakers are better for it.

Before I get bashed for considering a Laker trade for Boozer, keep in mind Boozer's first three years in the league.

Season Averages
10 pts & 8 rbds (rookie w/ Cleveland)
16 pts & 12 rbds (2nd year player w/ Cleveland)
18 pts & 9 rbds (1st year w/ Utah)

There are not many guys who come into the league with this type of productions. Boozer comes into the NBA already knowing how to play the game, along with an NBA body and athletic abilities.

KG, T-Mac, Boozer ... we're all expecting to at least land of these players ... we're all holding our breaths in anticipation, waiting to see which one of these players we're going to land ... but watch Mitch pull something out of his ass and we end up with a Jake Tsakilidis or a Rafael Araujo.

I would LOVE a Kobe, Boozer, Odom lineup. I would gladly give up Mihm and George. Do you really want to go to playoff battles with Mihm?

I would also trade for Patterson from Portland and get Anderson or Rush. With a lineup of Anderson, Kobe, Odom, Boozer and Kwame, plus Patterson, Anderson/Rush and Smush, we have a solid 8. Anything else we get from Bynum, Turiaf, Sasha, McKie is a bonus. I would go to playoff with that lineup.

I gotta say.

I'm oddly surprised that more deals don't happen at this time of night.

I understand, GMs have their families, they're used to a 9-5ish sleep
schedule, yada yada yada.

But if I'm running a team and you can't pull an all-nighter for me on the eve
of the deadline you and I are having a sit-down

Uh they do, the deals just aren't announced until the morning when the league offices open or the details get hammered out close to the deadline.

question?? sodapoppenski

Its 2 AM in the morning, you live in Arizona so it must be real late. How do you manage to stay up so late & function the next day (i.e job, school)?
