Why did ATL keep Harrington?

Seems insane - now in the offseason he can walk without getting them anything. At best they re-sign or sign and trade him.

But really, he's a tweener, not a PF, and they already have similar players in J-Smith, J-Chill, M-Williams, so why would they want to keep him? They coulda packaged him for a real PF or a PG, but now they risk losing him for nothing. Sign and trades are hard to pull off...

probably had an agreement with him for a sign and trade....he can get a bigger contract that way and atlanta can get something better than a rushed trade.
