You know what Elton Brand was Kwame's assignment and PJ took Brown out...
Put Mihm in and the clippers on a 16pt run...
Kwame has got to be the stopper, PJ should just stick with him through thick and thin... _________________ Kevin Love. 2015. |

Brand was a great pickup for the Clippers in exchange for the rights to Tyson Chandler. The Bulls traded him, because they saw limited upside in Brand. The Bulls got burnt. _________________ "Darkness cannot drive out darkness. Only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate. Only love can do that." ~~Martin Luther King Jr.~~ |

In Lakers in the News there is a goound article on this. PJ blew it taking Kwame off Brand. Brand lite it up with Mihm on him and that move alone may have cost the Lakers the game. Kobe is said to have glared at PJ on the bench questioning the decision.
It wrong to blame one player for any loss, but that move was a very damaging one to the Lakers chances. |

I'll pick Kwame. If we can limit Brand's easy baskets(dunks, layups) by putting Kwame on him, but our offense sucks in return... then so be it. if Brand is making his 18 foot jumper, then we cant do anything about him anyways, and ill tip my cap to him.
we contain brand, we have enough offense to beat the clippers(if lamar shows up that is) |

Mihm got OWNED. Kwame was a presence against EB. EB was more hesitant against Kwame. EB saw Mihm and just went RIGHT at him on 4-5 possessions in a row that SEALED the game.
Mihm just isn't strong enough. When Elton lowers his shoulder, charging into him with no call, there's not much Mihm can do. Throw in the fact that EB uses the off arm to "clear out" space, and Mihm will be used and abused. Kwame's a different kind of beast. EB tries to throw his shoulder into Kwame and it's like a brock wall, and forces EB to mostly fade on his shots. Sure, EB will score easily from time to time due to excellent footwork in the post. But when he tries to face up, nothing. _________________ Stephon Marbury on Kobe: "He's the only person on 'dis earth that can do 'dat. He guards people, like shuts 'em down.
