just a thought : what would phil do if someone (kobe) were to call a timeout when the opponents went on a run, before phil did?
if kobe did it, what is phil gonna do...fire him? |

That is a sign of disrespect toward the coach. He is the team leader so he shouldn't even think about doing that. |

Agree. PJ knows what he is doing eventhough we disagree. Poor rotation will help the scrubs in the long run if they were to remain as a Laker. Remember PJ is building another dynasty so if the scrubs can get the tri then parade will be back in LA. |

Phil said at the beginning of the year, he expected to call more timeouts and wouldn't give this young team as much leeway in trying to figure things out on their own when the game wasn't going their way.
If there was any time during the season when he needed to do this it was long before the Clippers built that 17 point lead in the 3rd quarter.
The Lakers had played badly all night and maybe he couldn't have pulled them together with a timeout before the game was out of reach.
The point is he didn't even try. |

This has been getting on my nerves as well. He should without a doubt be using more of his timeouts. _________________ JVG FOR LAKERS HEAD COACH |

In the past his player's were smart enough to figure it out, now you have stupid players like Smush, who is a tremendous athlete but always settles for 3. What is up with that? |

actually phil would have no problem if kobe called a TO.
phil's philosphy is if the players break down and start operating outside the system, he is not going to bail them out if they dig themselves into a hole.
he mentioned in his book that in the past, players like fisher and harper took the initiative to call a timeout and that he didn't have a problem with it. _________________ 14-5-3-12 |
