Double dribbles
At least the Bulls never have these problems. Atlanta suspended Salim Stoudamire for attitude problems and a confrontation with coach Mike Woodson. The Hornets benched and tried to trade J.R. Smith for Brent Barry because of Smith's general slothful behavior. . . . Talk of financial and arena problems has Seattle, Portland, Sacramento and even Philadelphia all dropping hints about moving if they don't get public financial help. Where are they all going? Louisville? . . . Doc Rivers' son, Jeremiah, is a hot high school prospect committed to Georgetown. Dwight Howard's younger brother, Jahaziel, is considering Georgetown. . . . Talk in Orlando is that Grant Hill will be released. The Orlando Sentinel quoted an unnamed Magic official saying, "I'm not sure Grant would want to be a part of the way this is going to go."

A guy like Hill, Penny Hardaway or Latrell Sprewell may be on his last legs....but their last legs are probably better than a lot of our guys young legs!
I am all for signing any of the 3. ASAP. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

Just got to question his health because he's not that reliable, but if his health wasn't an issue all for it. |

He'll probably end up as 6th man in Detroit. Dumars is a witch of a GM.

He will actually be bought out and released this summer and not during this season. He still would be a solid 6th man next year.

he would be a good pickup for us, but due to injuries, i wouldn't offer more than a 2year 10 million deal for him. 5 mil each year |

Oh yeah, why not, lets go for the trifecta, since Mitch already hit the jackpot with Vlade and McKie. _________________ Ringo "You retired too?"

he'll end up on the Spurs next year to replace Barry when they unload him in the offseason would be my best bet. |

If we're willing to sign McKie, we better go after Hill. |

I think that quote was used in an article referencing a trade. Grant Hill's contract will be a hot commodity next year when it expires. Orlando should probably use it wisely to net a good player(s) via trade. |

Realgm Fantasy:
L.A. Lakers Trade Breakdown
Outgoing
Kwame Brown
6-11 C from Glynn Academy (HS)
5.9 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 0.9 apg in 25.6 minutes
Stanislav Medvedenko
6-10 PF from Ukraine (Foreign)
1.0 ppg, 0.0 rpg, 0.5 apg in 3.5 minutes
Aaron McKie
6-5 SG from Temple
0.3 ppg, 1.3 rpg, 0.6 apg in 8.1 minutes
Incoming
Grant Hill
6-8 SF from Duke
15.5 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 2.4 apg in 30.1 minutes
Change in team outlook: +8.3 ppg, -3.3 rpg, and +0.4 apg.
Successful Scenario
Due to L.A. Lakers and Orlando being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. L.A. Lakers and Orlando had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. |
